On this most critically important election day, we ask you to join in prayer for our nation with the following prayer. It came from our sister, Kathy, an ardent and fervent prayer warrior, who with her husband, fellowships with us in our Georgia Stone Kingdom Fellowship. I have made no changes. All emphases are hers.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, and before we ask You to intervene on behalf of this nation, we first humble ourselves before You.

We repent.

We repent as individuals, and we repent for our nation. We have sinned against You in what we have done and in what we have failed to do. We have turned from Your ways, rejected Your truth, tolerated what You call evil, and called good what You have called wrong.

Your Word says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14

Father, we humble ourselves now.

Forgive us. Search us. Expose what is hidden within us. Forgive our pride, our rebellion, our bitterness, our unforgiveness, our greed, our compromise, and our indifference. Forgive us for the times we have known Your truth and chosen our own way.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10

Let repentance begin in us.

Father, have mercy upon America. Do not give us what our sins deserve. Give us mercy. Give us time. Give us another opportunity to turn back to You.

We ask You to place a hedge of protection around this nation—around our families, our communities, our churches, and those who are seeking You. As You placed a hedge around Job and all that belonged to him, establish Your protection according to Your will.

Surround us with Your angels. Restrain violence, destruction, hatred, confusion, and chaos. Expose what needs to be exposed and bring hidden things into the light.

“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.” — Luke 12:2

Father, we ask for truth to prevail.

Where there is deception, bring light.
Where there is confusion, bring clarity.
Where there is corruption, bring justice.
Where there is hatred, bring peace.
Where there is fear, bring faith.
Where there is wickedness, restrain it.
Where there is righteousness, strengthen it.

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” — Proverbs 14:34

Lord, we cannot fix this nation by human strength alone. We need You.

Your Word declares, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” — Proverbs 21:1

Therefore, Father, we place our nation, our leaders, our citizens, and our future into Your hands.

Order what needs to be ordered.
Stop what needs to be stopped.
Open what needs to be opened.
Close what needs to be closed.
Expose what needs to be exposed.
And turn hearts back toward You.

We ask for Your intervention, but above all, we ask for Your will.

Let America not merely seek prosperity—let America seek righteousness.
Let us not merely seek protection—let us seek the Protector.
Let us not merely seek answers—let us seek You.

Father, heal our land.

Turn hearts toward repentance. Awaken the Church. Restore courage to those who speak truth. Strengthen those who stand for righteousness. Give wisdom to those entrusted with authority. Protect those who peacefully participate in the affairs of this nation.

And let Your people remember:

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” — Psalm 20:7

We surrender our fear.
We surrender our anger.
We surrender our plans.
We surrender the outcome.

And we ask You to move.

Move with mercy.
Move with justice.
Move with power.
Move with truth.

Let Your hand rest upon America.

And Father, when we cannot see what You are doing, help us trust You anyway.

We stand in the gap.
We humble ourselves.
We repent.
We seek Your face.
And we cry out for mercy over this nation.

Save us from ourselves. Turn us back to You. Protect what is righteous. Restrain what is evil. And let Your purposes prevail.

In the mighty, matchless, and holy name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.
