Archeologists claim ‘vast underground city’ beneath Giza pyramids

3 minutes read

“Underground city” might be hyperbole, but there is something truly astonishing here. This news broke only a couple weeks ago and is utterly fascinating to those of us who have studied the Great Pyramid for decades, especially in connection with the Bible and Bible prophecies. (See the books we offer below.)

Article excerpt—QUOTE: Archaeologists believe they have uncovered evidence of a massive underground city lying beneath Egypt’s famous Giza pyramids.

Researchers from Italy and Scotland used advanced radar technology to produce detailed images from deep below the surface, revealing possible hidden structures 10 times the size of the pyramids themselves.

The report highlights eight distinct vertical, cylinder-shaped formations stretching over 2,100 feet beneath the pyramids, along with a series of additional unidentified structures located another 4,000 feet further down. END QUOTE

That totals 6,100 feet down, which is 1.15 miles! Here is a link to the full story on the Gateway Pundit.

To play devil’s advocate for the sake of discussion, and speaking as a former general contractor, a structure as massive and heavy as the Great Pyramid would require the use of pilings to support it…unless it is built directly on bedrock.

Consider that the pilings for the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center went down only about 80 feet where they hit bedrock. Several answers from Quora online say that the pyramids at Giza are either built directly on bedrock, or that bedrock is only about 35 feet below the surface.

In any case, as one views the videos of the structures going down thousands of feet beneath the pyramids, they appear to be giant tubes, not solid pilings! So I am stumped. What in the world was the purpose for those mile-deep tubes?

For decades, we have carried the two books on the Great Pyramid written by my late friend, Bible Archeologist (and former general contractor) E. Raymond Capt. They are still available from us, as follows:

Here is a link to a short video (7 minutes) from Jay Anderson, who evidently heads something he calls Project Unity. We are not familiar at all with him or his work, but it is an interesting video.

Here is an excerpt from another news article, entitled: Massive underground structures found beneath Giza Pyramids spark ancient energy grid conspiracy theories

QUOTE: A stunning new radar study has sent shockwaves across the internet, revealing a vast subterranean complex beneath the Pyramids of Giza—challenging long-held beliefs that the structures were built solely as royal tombs.

Using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) tomography, scientists Corrado Malanga of the University of Pisa and Filippo Biondi of the University of Strathclyde scanned the Khafre Pyramid and uncovered what appears to be an underground system stretching two kilometers beneath all three major pyramids.

The findings, made public through a scientific paper and a press release issued on March 15, detail five identical multi-level structures connected by geometric passageways near the base of the Khafre Pyramid.

Even more striking were the eight vertical cylindrical wells, encircled by spiral pathways descending 648 meters below the surface. These wells ultimately merge into two massive cube-shaped chambers—each measuring 80 meters on each side.

A video from the Reese Report declared that the revelation “challenges the long-held belief that the pyramids served solely as royal tombs.” Instead, it adds fuel to fringe theories that have circulated for decades—suggesting these structures may have had a mechanical or even energy-producing function.
