I just got home from the hospital an hour ago. The ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) (Here is another link, this one to Johns Hopkins, which also explains the operation.) surgery/procedure was completed yesterday mid-afternoon. I was under general anesthesia, woke up feeling great, and have been feeling great ever since.
I had my first solid food for lunch at the hospital—only ate about a third of it—so they could monitor how my cleansed bile duct could handle it. Flying colors. My jaundice is gone... Well, I won’t go into any more details here now as I am very tired—but only because I had hardly an hour’s sleep last night—but it had nothing to do with pain or anything negative.
When I am up to it, I will share with you some of the things I learned in this trip to the world of modern medicine. I do thank God for them, and I give God the glory for the healing! …by using the right people as the instruments of His healing!
Since my condition had been coming on with pain attacks beginning almost two weeks ago, I fell behind in getting some of your checks deposited. Please extend me patience for a few more days. Hopefully, I will get them into the bank on Friday or Monday at the latest. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns.
