Brian Coyne did a superb job on this parody of a Waylon Jennings song. He superimposed clever lyrics over the visuals. It was done so well that it almost looks like the Highwaymen are actually singing these lyrics. Plus, the other visuals he intersperses with the Highwaymen are right on target.

We would have preferred that Mr. Coyne had used the word Leftists instead of Liberals. Because we would want to leave room for bona fide Jeffersonian liberals (we assume there may be a few left) who may wish to distance themselves from the tragically miseducated and wholly indoctrinated “woke” Leftists illustrated in this parody.
And we are even prepared to give grace and mercy to the purple-haired freaks who illustrate the song. After all, I myself was once a “Leftist by default,” meaning, that upon graduation from the Ohio State University I thought I was just an open-minded liberal, not realizing I had been a thoroughly indoctrinated Marxist Leftist.
I even carried around a pocket-sized copy of the little red book, The Sayings of Chairman Mao (if I recall the title), but I only did it to be cool. What little I actually read of it had no lasting effect.
That is because it was soon replaced by another little red book (same size) which I now carry around in my glove compartment, The Holy Bible, aka The Sayings of King Jesus!
And I do read/study His Word every day. So, I praise God for causing me to be introduced to the Truth shortly after graduation from OSU in 1975.
Yes, we can smile at the parody and shake our heads in wonderment at how these human beings can be so sadly stupid—or are they just ignorant, as I once was? I think it was Winston Churchill who is credited with the saying, If you’re not a liberal by the time you’re twenty, you don’t have a heart. But if you’re not a conservative by the time you’re forty, you don’t have a brain.
Addendum to Winston’s wit: Nonetheless, when we see the wisdom of Constitutional and biblical “conservatism” at forty, we don’t check our hearts at the door. As conservative adults we still retain the compassion and mercy that we idealistically felt when we were twenty.
