A couple hours ago, I signed a contract and made a down payment with “magic plastic” for a very nice venue for our spring Bible conference. Here is the information we have for you at this time.
DATES: The Conference will commence at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2025 and run through some time on Sunday afternoon, April 5, 2026. Sunday is that feast which the church in America calls “Easter,” a term which we eschew because of its pagan roots. Instead, we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior and King on this day, and hence, call it by that term.
Many attendees at previous conferences arrive on Thursday and we have wonderful fellowship on that evening. Likewise, many stay over on Sunday night and depart on Monday morning. The Group rate will be honored for Thursday and Sunday nights.
LOCATION: The Embassy Suites at Hamilton Place, the northern suburbs of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Hamilton Place is a large shopping center area, with tons of restaurants of all sorts within a very short drive. The physical address of the Embassy Suites is 2321 Lifestyle Way, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
After our SKF-TN meeting on December 13th, I and several members of our group drove down to the venue to take a look. It is very comparable to The Chateau-on-the-Lake in Branson, Missouri, where we have had several conferences. The in-house restaurant here is a Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Tops in quality, with prices to match. Something I have only enjoyed on very special occasions.
RATES: Believe me, we spent hours looking at many venues in several cities, and this is the very best room rates we could get. Another venue (Knoxville area) was a quality brand name, but reviews mentioned mold in the AC units, and even they could not match the rate that the Embassy Suites is giving us: $139/night + taxes, for “run of the house,” an industry term which means, they have rooms with a king bed or with two queens, all the same price.
As soon as we have an on line reservation portal established for our Group, we will give you an update with that link. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card.
Do NOT make your reservations at this time, or you will be paying their standard rates. Once the Group Account is established we will furnish the reservations number if you wish to make your reservation by phone instead of on line. The cut-off date for making your reservation at the Group Rate is 3/5/26.
SPEAKERS: Confirmed at this point: myself. I will now turn my attention to contacting those I have in mind for this Conference.
AIR TRAVEL: The Chattanooga airport is about 20 minutes away.
Miscellaneous notes FYI. We were truly hoping to find a venue further west, such as Nashville or Birmingham. It came down to two: Nashville and Chattanooga. Both are Embassy Suites and lovely venues. But the Nashville (actually Franklin, TN) could not come close to matching the prices offered by their sister hotel in Chattanooga. Franklin rooms: $159/night, plus taxes.
Four of the venues, two in Birmingham and two in Knoxville, were charging from $25 to $38 per night just for parking your vehicle!
Years ago we purchased professional audio and video equipment, projectors, big screens, etc. Renting it from the venues is incredibly expensive. One venue even slaps a $500 surcharge on you if you bring your own equipment!
