This past Sunday afternoon I watched VP JD Vance’s remarks at the Turning Point USA (TPUSA) AmericaFest Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. It was an inspiring speech which had many of the 31,000 attendees applauding and cheering after nearly every line.
I also saw the last few minutes of Don, Jr’s talk as he held up his phone to his lapel microphone to broadcast President Trump’s brief message to the assembly.
I was flipping back and forth between Fox News and Newsmax as I was recording the whole speech. As their cameras would occasionally pan the enormous audience, I noticed two things that I will share with you here before we share some exciting statements by our VP.
First, the age composition of the audience was not limited to young people. There were people of all ages from teens to seniors, although Charlie Kirk’s target audience of Gen Z’ers (and just above and below) were the majority.
Secondly—and I don’t want to give any help to the fake news here—but I believe this occurred during Don, Jr.’s broadcast of his dad’s message. The vast auditorium was relatively dark. Most of the attendees were standing and holding their cell phones high with outstretched arm toward the stage to capture the video of Don talking with his dad.
From one particular camera angle, which lasted for only a few seconds, I could see how the fake news could easily manipulate slightly a still shot of the tens of thousands of outstretched arms to give the impression that all the audience was giving the “Heil Hitler” salute to POTUS!
…which would be just another of the myriad examples of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). So if you see such a picture appear on the fake news, you know what the audience was really doing. 😎
JD’s speech ran close to 40 minutes (including applause and chants of USA, USA, and / or JD, JD, JD). We found a transcript of the Vice President’s address on line and here are a few excerpts which we found especially applause-worthy and which did draw much enthusiastic cheering from the attendees.
With SKM being one of only a very tiny remnant of Christian identity Bible teachers in the USA, readers can imagine my excitement as I was hearing between the lines how God is bringing national identity front and center to the nation’s attention by our hillbilly Vice President JD Vance’s words.
(And I use that term “hillbilly” with the utmost affection and admiration for my fellow Buckeye, Mr. Vance. The reference is to his autobiography, Hillbilly Elegy.)
All emphases and comments within [brackets] are mine. We are taking the excerpts in chronological order.
QUOTE: When I think about some of the most impassioned debates happening in our country, the nature of citizenship, of what it means to be an American, it all speaks to an obvious truth. Americans are hungry for identity. We’re hungry for belonging. We’re hungry for a sense of our place in the world, and it’s no surprise why.
For many years, our fellow Americans have been dealing with a globalized economy that homogenized cultures and hollowed out our towns. Academics and activists pushing race and gender politics down everyone’s throat 24-7. Big tech overlords using their internet platforms to censor stories that challenge the dominant far-left narrative in our country.
More than any time, I can recount, people are talking about American identity and figuring out what it is that unites us. But I want to say something here. [That was JD’s rhetorical drum roll. Pay attention, he is saying, because what follows is one of the key points of my speech.]
The only thing that has truly served as an anchor of the United States of America is that we have been, and by the grace of God, we always will be, a Christian nation. [BOOM! And when a vast portion of Americans learn the truth of our biblical identity as the end-of-the-age descendants of the twelve tribes of Israel, DOUBLE BOOM! Things will then change even more rapidly than they are now under “Trump time!”]

Now, I want to be explicit because, of course, the fake news media will twist everything that I say. I’m not saying you have to be a Christian to be an American. I’m saying something simpler and truer. Christianity is America’s creed. The shared moral language from the Revolution to the Civil War and beyond. Across that history, our country’s major debates have always centered on how we could best, as a people, please God.
That creed, think about it, that creed motivated our understanding of natural law and rights, our sense of duty to one’s neighbor, the conviction that the strong must protect the weak, and the belief in individual conscience. And our famously American idea of religious liberty is a Christian concept.

Because we’re all creatures of God, we must respect each individual’s pathway to that God. But over the last 50 years [much longer than that, my brother], there has been a singular focus, a war that has been waged on Christians and Christianity in the United States of America. And let me say, of all the wars that Donald Trump has ended, that is the one we’re proudest of.
For decades, the left has labored to push Christianity out of national life. They’ve kicked it out of the schools, out of the workplace, out of the fundamental parts of the public square. Freedom of religion transformed into freedom from religion.
And in a public square devoid of God, we got a vacuum. And the ideas that filled that void preyed on the very worst of human nature, rather than uplifting it. [God created the waster to destroy {Isaiah 54:16}; that is their nature and their job! Biblically speaking, they are the satans {Hebrew: literally, adversaries} among us.]
They [the wasters] told us not that we were children of God, but children of this or that identity group. They replaced God’s beautiful design for the family that men and women could rely on and return to one another with the idea that men could turn into women so long as they brought [sic, should be bought] the right bunch of pills from Big Pharma. They had all the religious fervor of a zealous convert without any of the grace or forgiveness of a true Christian. …
[He goes on to expound on how we must be discerning and put into practice in government and in our culture, the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. He explains how the fruit of the Leftists is rotten and ungodly (my words).
Towards the end of his address, Mr. Vance is deeply encouraging as he declares that biblical principles (a softer way to say “God’s laws”) are at the center of the Trump administration.]
And this is the moral truth we strive to center in our work in the Trump administration and in this great movement of ours. A true Christian politics, it cannot just be about the protection of the unborn or the promotion of the family, as important as those things absolutely are. It must be at the heart of our full understanding of government. END QUOTE
The complete transcript can be found at this link. I am sure you can find the complete video of Vance’s speech somewhere on line. It is very much worth your time, but only if you want to be encouraged. 😉
We are most hopeful and confident that our national (and global) darkness is now turning to (THE) Light.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world…
Vance delivered his speech one day after the winter solstice. The “turning point” from dark to light begins here in America because we ARE that chosen people, God’s Israel people. He will not forsake us, but we must turn back to Him. We must learn who we are, and that we have a divinely-ordained destiny. We are called to serve, and to be a blessing to ALL the families of the earth! (Genesis 12:3) Hallelu-Yah!
