“Real” meaning flags that represent the American republic, not the UNITED STATES CORPORATION. Last Wednesday, June 18th, there was a brief White House ceremony as workers completed the installation of two flagpoles on the north and south lawns respectively. President Trump personally paid for them, each said to be about $50,000.
“It is my Great Honor to announce that I will be putting up two beautiful Flag Poles on both sides of the White House, North and South Lawns,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on June 17. [my emphasis] It is a GIFT from me of something which was always missing from this magnificent place,” he said.
Trump saluted the flag as it was unfolded and raised. The small group (most likely White House staff and some family members) watched in silence as the workers opened and attached the flag. As it was hoisted, the crowd had their hands over their hearts, before erupting in applause.
This “minor” news item may have had little impact in the news cycle, but it carried great symbolic significance to those with eyes to see. It is very encouraging. Here is our take:
Question: When one side in a war achieves victory, what do they do? They plant their flag in the capital or headquarters of the enemy. While this war is not over by any means, was President Trump sending a message (to patriots as well as to the black hats) that the white hats are now in control?
Another “minor” detail which would have gone unnoticed by most is that DJT had been out earlier in the day chatting with workers. Reporters were there as he was wearing his white hat (white MAGA cap). Nearly all the construction workers were also wearing white hats in the form of construction helmets.
Trump joked (or maybe not) as he asked if any of them were illegal immigrants. One of them spoke up and thanked Trump for bringing America back. (From the brink of destruction, we would assume the worker meant.)
Another right-in-front-of-you detail missed by most is that the huge flags were true American flags of our republic. They had no gold fringes round about. We have written about the meaning of the gold fringe long ago. All in all; these are good signs.
