History Lesson—from Gideon to Trump, part 1
Today we start something new. For the first time—as best I can recall—I am with this blog going to begin sharing the teaching which just went out to our CD Ministry (CDM). In fact, a quick check with those geographically closest to me reveals that they have not even received this teaching on CD in the mail yet.
But I am led to do this because of the timeliness factor. As I have stated frequently in recent years, things are happening so fast on the national-international scene that it is impossible for any one person to keep up. That is why I have asked for the help of our readers/listeners to share with me items of interest, preferably sending them to me via email to: James@StoneKingdom.org .
The latter part of this lecture dealt with the current unrest in Minneapolis and our take on what President Trump is doing about it, especially in regard to The Insurrection Act of 1807.
Many of my lectures are a combination of Bible exposition, history, and current events. If I were to wait several years (or decades) to “blogify” one of my recent oral lectures, the Bible teaching would (hopefully) still be valid and true, but its connection with current events would be less helpful, its impact diminished simply because many people could no longer relate to it, as time has moved on.
This need to be relevant to what’s happening now has become very clear to me as I have been blogifying a series of lectures which I delivered ca. 1990-91 called Barley in the Bible.
As current readers know, we are now reaching close to the end of that series. However, it has taken an excessive amount of time to update and revise it. However, it is worth it because it is still very relevant to current events, mainly due to the continuing and worsening (under the faux Joe Biden administration) alien immigration crisis and resultant effects on our population.
The USA has suffered serious alien immigration invasions almost without break from a whole century ago until now. But it has reached its climax under faux Joe and now we are seeing the necessary action to reverse it. All this is wholly related to Bible prophecy—as we have been demonstrating in our recent Gideon blogs.
Moreover, the Gideon story has become intertwined with my current lectures, and so that is why I am commencing today to bring readers the first portion of the lecture I delivered to my live audience in our Stone Kingdom Fellowship in Georgia just a week ago Sunday, on January 18, 2026.
My lectures sometimes go over an hour and that is far too long for our current younger generation to read in one blog, seeing that they have very short attention spans. It is essentially a lack of ability to focus (at length) which is due in part to the ubiquity of social media, but the blame also lies with the educational systems.
Hence, here is part one of however-many-installments-it-takes. This is not a completely verbatim transcription of my oral lecture but it has been modified to fit this medium.

The title of today’s lecture is A History Lesson—from Gideon to Trump. Our previous lecture was entitled The Amazing Parallels between Andrew Jackson and Donald Trump.
And yes, my friends, we are still studying history—primarily U. S. history—and for any new people just tuning in, let me explain clearly why this Bible teacher delves so deeply into history.
It is this: We believe and teach that we are God’s latter-day Israel people—meaning, we are the actual and literal descendants of the Israelites of the Old Testament. Furthermore, we are now in captivity to a powerful, world-ruling empire which was foretold in the Bible.
That empire is called Mystery, Babylon the Great, and until very recently almost no one—including most Christians—could explain what that was and is.
Therefore, because of that almost universal ignorance, the apostle John in the book of Revelation called this global empire a mystery.
But it was not to remain a mystery forever. God has graciously given some of us to understand this mystery long before the masses would awaken.
Therefore, we in this ministry have presented literally dozens of lectures over many decades, but especially in the past 16 years, explaining in voluminous detail all about this age-ending entity, Mystery Babylon: what it is, where it is, who comprises it, how they operate, and where we are on the divine timetable of prophecy.
And all that teaches us how we are to act while we are still in captivity to this Mystery Babylonian system, and how we are to act, and what we are to do, as this monstrous beast system is in the process of being dismantled and destroyed.
That is where we are on the timetable. Mystery Babylon is in the process of falling… (Cf. Revelation 18:2) falling into the wastebasket of history.
To connect the dots of modern history with the Bible, we are teaching that just as it was in the book of Judges in ancient Israel, particularly in the story of Gideon, so it is in our modern era.
Just as our forefathers at that time experienced, we now find ourselves being overrun by illegal aliens, and they are robbing us blind, and greatly impoverishing modern Christian Israel in America.
The massive multi-billion-dollar thefts by primarily Somalian immigrants in Minnesota, which are now being exposed in the independent alternative media, is just the tip of the iceberg. It started with fake daycare centers, and just this week the young investigative reporter, Nick Shirley, came out with his report, part two, in which he shows fake transportation companies and other fake businesses all raking in and stealing millions of tax dollars. All adding up to $billions !
Columbus, Ohio—one of my former home towns— is said to be home to the second largest Somali community in the country, so I fully expect Nick Shirley and other investigative journalists like him to be shining a spotlight and their cell phone video cameras at that community very soon.
Certainly, we all remember what Elon Musk’s DOGE team uncovered in just a few months in early 2025. The massive USAID frauds were also just the tip of the iceberg, or more appropriately, those were just the top inch in the D. C. septic tank.
The DOGE boys may not be on the news much anymore, but it is my understanding they are still at work in various federal departments and agencies. I could go on reciting numerous other fraud operations around the nation.
The point is that we—Christian Israel in America—have been declining into poverty partly because of the colossal thefts by the illegal immigrants and the “legal” ones who have (often falsely) claimed refugee status.
Obviously—to those who have been following our studies—yes, all of that fraud is terrible, but it is only a tiny part of the fraud engendered by the existence of the central banks globally—which has been the primary focus of our recent lectures.
But now very recently, and finally, our people are beginning to awaken, at least to the point where they are starting to realize the fact that we are in bondage and captivity, which heretofore, they had been blind to.
In other words, they—the inhabitants of this nation—had not even recognized that they were in captivity.
Parenthetically, and for the sake of clarity, you will have noticed that I am alternating between the pronouns “we” and “they.” That is because “they,” the vast majority of the Christian people in America, have been blind to our captivity.
In contrast, “we,” which is you in this audience and a very small minority around the nation, we have been awake for many years, most of us for many decades. In a secular sense, we could use the now-common figure of speech: we are “red pilled.”
Biblically, “we” have been awake to both who we are, the Israel people of the Bible, and also, because of that knowledge, we are awake to the fact, and we understood by the prophetic Scriptures, that we have been in captivity for a long time to Mystery Babylon.
Therefore, I alternate between the pronouns. I speak to you here, and to those who have been following our teachings as “we.” But to speak about Christians in general, I say “they,” as meaning those still in spiritual blindness to these things. Praise be to God, many of them are now starting to rub their spiritual eyes and are stunned to realize the truth of which we speak.
As we proceed, I will sometimes refer also to “they” as meaning the bad actors, the bad guys, the black hats, the enemies of God and His people, but it should be clear by the context which “they” is meant.
So now they are beginning to cry out to God for deliverance. And of course, we along with them. But there is yet another aspect of this situation to which we must now turn our attention.
Just as in the story of Gideon, the people are being oppressed, and they have become impoverished, and so they finally have had enough, and they cry out to God for deliverance. As a result of their cry, God does just that. He delivers them! Right? NO!
Because before God sends a deliverer, He first raises up prophets among them. But these prophets are not necessarily foretellers of the future, but these prophets are forth-tellers.
They tell forth to the people who they are. That they are God’s people who have been chosen for a special purpose. And equally important, these prophets also teach the people their own history. Why? Because it is a necessary step in our deliverance.
I must teach history because our own history has been ignored in the educational systems of Mystery Babylon—which includes almost all schools in America. True history has been replaced with “social studies.”
Thus we are astonished when we discover that younger generations cannot answer the most basic questions about American history and our culture.
I once had a recent high school graduate working in my office. She had been a high honors and advanced placement student with a GPA above 4.0. Back when I was in school a 4.0 was the highest one could achieve.
But it turned out this young lady was astonishingly ignorant of such basics as the Lewis and Clark Expedition to explore the territory of the Louisiana Purchase. As I am sure you here in the present audience do know, it was under the direction of President Thomas Jefferson that Misters Lewis and Clark had departed from St. Louis, Missouri, to explore the territory that the U. S. had just bought from France.
I recall my shock one day when I showed my young assistant the picture of the St. Louis Arch. We were using the photograph of the Arch for the CD and/or DVD album cover of our St. Louis Bible Conference. I showed her the picture and asked her if she had ever been there in person. She had no idea what the picture was or where it was!
This young lady was not stupid, because as the saying goes, “You can’t fix stupid.” But she was shockingly ignorant of the basics of American history and of our republic (not a democracy) as our form of government.
Moreover, it was not only American history, she could not even do the most basic arithmetic—simple multiplication. When I gave her a simple quiz, just one question, she had to pull out her cell phone to look up the answer to four times seven! I kid you not!
I truly felt sorry for her. It is not her fault. But she can fix it, if she wants to. It was the fault of our educational institutions. This ignorance of history is now the norm spanning several generations of Americans.
The dots of history connect unmistakably with prophecies in the Bible. Therefore, the people must understand their history in order to understand how far they / how far we all as a nation have strayed from God’s commandments, statutes, and judgments.
That’s what we do a lot of here at Stone Kingdom Ministries. We are teaching history—true history, not the fake history which is now ubiquitous in our institutions of so-called “higher” learning.
