…shriek the “artists” at the failing Grammy Awards show a couple nights ago. But let’s begin here. Sing along with me now…🎵

This land is your land, this land is my land
From California to the New York Island,
From the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters;
This land was made for you and me.

That is the iconic chorus from the song penned by Woody Guthrie in 1940. I don’t remember the verses very well, and most readers probably don’t either—and that’s good! Good? Yes, because the final two verses describe Guthrie’s journey across America as he sees America through the lens of what is today called a “social justice warrior.” Woody was a prototype.

Back to the Grammy’s… I don’t know which communist talking point was vomited from the mouths of the award recipients on stage more: “ICE out!” or “You’re living on stolen land; no one is illegal !”

Here is a little exercise in critical thinking that seems to have escaped the neuronal capacity of the Hollywood and Grammy crowd. I did not waste time watching the show.

However, I did see a brief clip on Newsmax where Billie Eilish (never heard of her and I am glad of that), in accepting the award for Song of the Year just felt compelled to demonstrate her ignorance by exclaiming “No one is illegal on stolen land!” (Huge applause from her fellow communists.)

Apparently, the Leftist geniuses don’t know the difference between theft and conquest. Consider that the pre-Columbian inhabitants of North America did not have a very effective immigration policy. (Yes, that’s a bit sarcastic…I saw it on a meme, but it is true.) They were not one homogenous people but were split into who knows how many frequently-warring tribes.

Indeed, our God had prepared this second promised land for His people just as surely as He had prepared the first promised land for our ancestors.

So here is the critical thinking challenge:

  • The open borders (= no borders) fools declare that “no one is illegal on stolen land.”
  • If no one is illegal, then how did the white Europeans “steal” it beginning in 1492?
  • If no one is illegal, then our (European-Christian-Israelite) ancestors were not illegal either.
  • If nobody owns the land, then how did the “Indians” own our land before we “stole” it from them?

We didn’t steal it. We conquered this land. Like it or not, that is the ever-repeating story of mankind. How many countries can you think of whose current land was not owned or occupied by some other family-group or tribe at some point in history?

There is a biblical parallel here from the time of the Judges in ancient Israel. We don’t have the time to cover the whole story but you can read the whole thing sometime. Judges, chapter 11. But here are the key passages in regard to today’s topic.

Judges 11:4 And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel….

5 And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:…

12 And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come against me to fight in my land?

13 And the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore restore those lands again peaceably….

14 And Jephthah sent messengers again unto the king of the children of Ammon:

15 And said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon:

In other words, we didn’t steal your land, and then Jephthah goes on to recount (by then ancient) history of Israel and how they came out of Egypt…all the way down to verse 21 where Jephthah is still giving the details of some of the wars of conquest that Israel won because Yahweh was with them.

21 And the LORD [Yahweh] God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country.

Then Jephthah gives some more history, this dealing with shifting national boundaries.

22 And they possessed all the coasts of the Amorites, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and from the wilderness even unto Jordan.

23 So now the LORD [Yahweh] God of Israel hath dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel, and shouldest thou possess it?

Then Jephthah sarcastically throws a verbal punch at the foreign king by essentially saying, I told you how our God gave us this land and therefore we conquered these lands, so why don’t you just be content with what you have now.

24 Wilt not thou possess that which Chemosh thy god giveth thee to possess? So whomsoever the LORD [Yahweh] our God shall drive out from before us, them will we possess.

… And here’s the kicker. Jephthah challenges the Ammonite king with another verbal jab.

26 While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all the cities that be along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? why therefore did ye not recover them within that time?

In response the Ammonites grew even more bellicose. They refused to stay within their current borders and kept demanding that Israel give back the land they had “stolen” three hundred years previously.

Jephthah, in essence, says, “Okay, try and take it then.” And the Ammonites did try. But they wish they hadn’t because they got their rumps kicked.  Yahweh was with Jephthah and his armies.

This story applies to the USA today in much more detail. I will be providing very specific information how closely this parallel is happening right now in a longer series of blogs relatively soon.

To circle back to the Grammy “social warriors”…

A final and obvious question shows the utter hypocrisy of the Hollywood-Grammy ignoramuses. We observe how they virtue-signal their nonsense about us living on “stolen land.” Then they go home to their multi-million dollar mansions with bodyguards, high walls, and gates on the Malibu beach (or wherever)!

Question: If we are all living on stolen land, why don’t you lead the way and give your mansion and three-acre Malibu tract back to whichever tribe allegedly had it three hundred years ago? …We’re waiting…
