Barley in the Bible, part 15
As we continue our studies of barley in the Bible, we had begun last time (in part 14) to study the story of Gideon. We find many parallels in the story of Gideon with our Christian-Israel people in America today.
For new readers it is crucial to note that by “Christian-Israel in America,” we are not referring to those known as “Jews.” In the previous installment, we were commenting on this verse:
Judges 6: 2 And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.
We now continue with our comments on that verse. Since at least the 1970’s, there has been a continuing migration of American Christian-Israel people to the mountains and hill country areas throughout and about the USA, away from the big cities and into the rural or small town areas.
They have also largely departed away from the east and west coasts. For example, although I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina, some people believe that I live on the “east coast.” Not at all. It is an eight-hour drive to the Atlantic coast of NC when going essentially straight east.
Have you noticed for decades now, how the liberal and socialist-minded coastal elites (from Boston, through New York and down to Washington, D.C; and from Los Angeles and Hollywood north to the Silicon Valley-types and their political kinfolk further north in Portland and Seattle) often refer to “flyover country” as they traverse from coast to coast?
In their discourse, it is an arrogant phrase meant to ridicule and demean those of us who choose to live far from them.
This decades-long migratory pattern within the USA is not limited to those of us who understand biblically who we are (that is, that we are the literal descendants of Jacob-Israel; namely, the Anglo-Saxon, Keltic, Scandinavian, Germanic, and many related peoples who eventually populated Europe in the past three millennia).
We are the descendants of the so-called “lost tribes” of Israel. (Disclaimer: Our ancestry in Israel is a fact which in no way is meant to imply anything about eternal salvation. There is no salvation by race or ethnicity.)
But there are also many people who do not recognize their own identity, or who are not physical Israelites, but are simply patriots who can see the handwriting on the wall, to the extent that they, too, have begun to move to the hill and the mountain country just out of a natural instinct for survival for the days ahead.
We see here in the story of Gideon that some portion of the Israelites became survivalists and preppers, and made themselves dens and caves and strongholds. In other words they were doing what many of our own people are doing to this day. The Bible historian then records the invasions of the alien raiders.
Judges 6: 3 And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;
Here we see that one of the three groups of marauders are identified as the Midianites. They were descendants of Midian who was one of the six sons of Abraham through his wife Keturah.
Also listed among the alien raiders are the Amalekites. Who were the Amalekites? They were one branch of the descendants of Esau, the twin brother of Jacob-Israel. Esau’s nickname was Edom. Amalek was the son of Eliphaz who was the son of Esau, so the Amalekites are Edomites.
The third people group listed among the invaders are “the children of the east”. That refers to the Moabites and the Ammonites. They were descendants of Lot. These nations dwelt just east of Israel across the Dead Sea and the Jordan river valley. The Edomite-Amalekite families made their primary habitation south and east of the Dead Sea.
These are the same Amalekite tribes which had made war on the Israelites at Rephidim just after Moses had been led them out from their slavery in Egypt. God had also forewarned Israel of the unending attacks they would suffer from these people.
Exodus 17:16 For he said, Because the LORD [Yahweh] hath sworn that the LORD [Yahweh] will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
As the children of Israel had come into the Promised Land, they were commanded by Yahweh-God to exterminate all the people in the land, or to at least drive them out of the land. The Israelites failed to do as God commanded.
Thus, throughout the history recorded in the book of Judges (and later) there were non-Israelite clans in the land of Israel. As God had foretold in the curses portion of His law, these aliens would be constant source of national irritation and temptation for God’s people. Temptations to intermarry with them, temptations to follow after their false gods, even to the point of killing their own children to appease the false gods.
Israel in America today has been following the very same patterns as our forefathers.
In the mid-20th century, immigration laws in the United States began to drastically change. The changes favored every family group in the world except the (Israelite) nationalities (Anglo-Saxon, etc. as above) who had originally founded the colonies and then formed the United States of America.
The past four years of the faux Joe Biden administration have been the culmination of these decades of invasion through immigration. Just as in ancient Israel, it was not initially a military invasion, but was an economic incursion. The sustenance of the people of the nation was/is being drained by the invaders.
From 2021 through 2024, we have now witnessed, as they witnessed then, an actual, full-scale invasion. But it is not military yet in this country, but any thinking person who has been paying attention realizes that there are undoubtedly millions of military-age young men who have entered the United States illegally.
They are now spread out into every state, ready to break out into full-scale violence when their bosses give the order. We pray that day will never come and that President Trump and the white hats with him will be able to rapidly rid our nation of all the illegal immigrants before that tragic event can occur.
But here at the time of Gideon it was apparently not yet at the military stage then either, for it says this in verse 4:
Judges 6: 4 And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.
Here we are now in 2025, well over three thousand years after the Gideon story and the tiny strip of land known as Gaza on the southeastern Mediterranean coast is still front-and-center in the news. (See map above.)
Verse 4 tells us that these aliens came in and destroyed the increase of the land. It says that Israel sowed, (most Israelites farmed the land) and then the Midianites, the Amalekites, and the children of the east came in and destroyed it, so it left no sustenance for Israel. How is this happening to us today?
Let me point out just two or three of many ways. Number one, hybrid seeds, pesticides and fertilizers. Think about it. Initially, or at least several generations ago, our farmers were quite marvelous producers of food the old-fashioned way. As had been done since time immemorial, farmers always saved a portion of the harvest as seed to plant for next year’s crop.
But then the chemical and big oil companies which are interlocked with the one another… And you know who we’re talking about. Beginning over a century ago, the Rockefellers and their allied enterprises seized control of agriculture, both by putting their flunkies in the agriculture department to usurp control of the land and to tell the farmers by federal regulations what they could and could not do.
Simultaneously, their chemical/oil cartels came up with new ways to lure farmers from the traditional ways of farming. Through slick marketing, they dangled the bait out there for the farmers saying, “Why do you go to all the bother to save your seed? You can buy this hybrid seed from us and you won’t have to bother with saving seed.”
Of course, they initially priced it very cheaply, and they further promised farmers that this hybrid seed will give you wonderful and abundant crops, more than you can get with regular seed.
Unfortunately, the farmers took the bait because they were ignorant of God’s laws on agriculture. I remember growing up on a farm in the 1950s and this soon became the norm, as the farmers did indeed find that their corn grew taller and had many more ears of corn per stalk, and similar abundance in wheat, oats, and other crops.
But what they did not know has now proven to be fatal—both in terms of the losses of family farms to giant agriculture corporations (Big Ag) and fatal to the health of all Americans as we now eat mostly hybrid grains which is ultimately harmful to our health.
Are the farmers to blame? To a certain extent, yes. But probably more so, the blame falls at the feet of the churchmen, the ministers, priests, theologians, etc. They have failed the whole nation by failing to teach the farmers (and all the people of the nation) the Creator’s laws on agriculture.
But then again, the same moneyed interests over a century ago also saw to it that the Christian seminaries and Bible colleges were infiltrated with wolves in sheep’s clothing. Over generations they succeeded in dumbing down the clergy.
Without going into extensive detail on this point (as we have documented it in other lectures), it turns out the Rockefeller family is also very likely to be descended from the family of Esau-Edom.
Therefore, they are staying true to their calling in God’s great plan of the ages, for God declared, …I have created the waster to destroy. Isaiah 54:16b
