Barley in the Bible, part 17
In the previous essay-post in this series we were illustrating from news events which were occurring that very week how God’s Word is just as current as today’s news.
But to say God’s Word is just as current as today’s news is getting it backwards, for the reality is that thousands of years ago God had prophesied in His Word what would happen to His Israel people far into the future, depending upon their/our adherence or disobedience to His law.
And here we are. It is happening right before our eyes. We concluded last time by noting how Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) was a guest on Newsmax’s Carl Higbee Frontline program and explaining how the Democrats refusal to reopen the government was a blackmail-type tactic.
The Dems asserted that they would not agree to reopening the federal government until the Republicans agreed to restore 1.5 trillion dollars to the Continuing Resolution to fund the government.
As the Republicans were consistently pointing out to the public, much of that money would continue to finance Obamacare for all the illegal aliens! In that context, Rep. Mace pointed out that the 1.5 trillion also includes $2.3 million for addressing “locusts in Africa!”
Her statement was speaking of another ostensible “foreign aid” giveaway. However, I am sure Rep. Mace is well aware—as are all Americans now who were paying attention when the DOGE team showed—how the vast majority of the billions our tax dollars of “foreign aid” for the US AID programs, such as for studying “gay frogs in Uganda,” or “locusts in Africa” were nothing more than money-laundering programs.
That occurs where the “aid” money gets funneled back through NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) and ultimately finds its way into the pockets or campaign funds of the very Democrats (and RINOs) who voted the “foreign aid” in the first place.
The biblical point of focus here is Rep. Mace’s mention of the locusts. That is a “God-wink” if I ever saw one! Because if our labor (via taxes) is going to allegedly go to Africa to deal with a “locust” problem, then metaphorically, this is the “locusts” consuming our labor!
I promised we would have much more about the metaphorical locusts, so let us proceed with that. To be sure, there are literal locusts that literally destroy the produce of the land and bring about famine. The eighth plague upon Egypt was the plague of locusts.
Because the economy of Egypt was largely based on agriculture, the eighth plague was a devastating blow to both the economy and the food supply of the nation. So, swarms of locusts can obviously be a literal plague.
But in the story of Gideon, God was using locusts in a symbolic sense.
Judges 6: 5 For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers [lit., locusts] for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
6 And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites…
Yes, the KJV says “grasshoppers,” but nearly all other versions translate it as “locusts.” More on that later.
Clearly, these alien invaders are being likened to locusts. Three people groups are mentioned in the Gideon story: the Midianites, the Amalekites, and the children of the east. Today, there are alien invaders from at least 168 people groups-nations.
The illegal aliens of Gideon’s time came up with their cattle and their tents. When the millions of locusts came up across our southern border, they came up with their backpacks, their cell phones, and their reloadable debit cards.
All of that is courtesy of the NGOs which supplied them with the above. But where did the NGOs get the billions of dollars to bestow on the “newcomers?” From you and me, of course, so that the backpacks on the alien “new arrivals” was really more burdens on the backs of us American taxpayers. (The Dems are now seeking funds in the CR to reload those debit cards.)
Did you notice how so many of the invaders which we have seen in the caravans seemed to have such nice new tennis shoes and backpacks? Just looking at their nice new shoes, surely no one believes that the vast majority of them hiked all the way from Panama on foot to the Rio Grande, a distance of about 1,500 miles.
No, they rode on buses and trains until they paused for photo ops to show them “walking to America,” all this again courtesy of the fake “Christian” ministries and other NGOs using your and my tax money to pay for everything.
In the days of Gideon their cattle grazed on Israel’s land and they brought their domiciles (tents) strapped on their beasts of burden. Today, the invaders did not need to bring tents.
Upon arrival through Biden’s open border, they are put aboard (free) busing to processing centers where they were given free airline tickets to wherever in the USA they wished to go. Once there, they would be met by other NGOs, or churches like the one (of many) in Asheville, NC which proclaims on its roadside marquee, “Welcome, newcomers!”
And again, no tents are needed as the illegal aliens are given free housing. Remember the stories how they were housed in hotels in New York—some of them first-class hotels, where the hotels are reimbursed by the federal government (our tax money) to the tune of $500/night, give or take—for weeks/months on end! Are they still there?
And we recall how in some of the lesser quality hotels, military veterans were made homeless by being pushed out on the streets to make room for the “Midianites, Amalekites, and the children of the East!”
In Gideon’s day, their cattle grazed on Israel’s land, impoverishing the Israelites. Today, they are impoverishing us Christian Israelites in America by being given EBT cards.
An EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card is a plastic card used to access taxpayer-funded benefits such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families).
TANF is a federal, taxpayer-funded assistance program that provides temporary cash assistance to low-income families with children. This is how these wealth transfer programs get started—under the guise of temporary do-goodism. Ignorant liberals love it; it assuages their “white guilt.”
But these programs always fail—they are designed to fail, by the enemy within. The enemies within—and they are Legion—were unashamedly showing themselves under Biden, thinking they had their hegemony over America then sewed up.
Last week we learned because of the government shutdown (a blessing in this sense) how 42 million Americans receive food stamps! …Which drives up the cost of food for the rest of us.
Now, turning specifically to the locust symbolism in Bible prophecy, we saw that “No Kings” protests and marches occurred in many cities (and towns) across America on Saturday, October 18th—just a few weeks ago. To the best of my knowledge, these turned out to be almost universally peaceful in America. (Some occurred in foreign countries as well.)

Organizers were “adamant that the rallies remain peaceful”, according to USA Today, and held virtual safety trainings ahead of the protests with help from the ACLU. END QUOTE. Source.
That they were peaceful should not be surprising as we saw in video of some of the marches. The protestors were primarily older white women and beta males. Wholly different from the make-up of the BLM and/or Antifa rioters. But let us not be naïve.
Notice in the chart above the centuries-long strategy of the totalitarian collectivists still in play. The money and control comes from the top and finances the anarchy in the streets. Aka, the Hegelian dialectic. Karl Marx would be proud. Yep, organic and spontaneous “grassroots” protests turn out to be astroturf (fake grass, for those of you in Carthagena). Because even astroturf protests cost a lot of money.
The black hats and the white hats are playing chess. This was a test run by the black hats to see how the Trump administration would react when they have aging hippies marching for “no kings.” We suspect it will be a far different situation in the streets in the next twelve months in the lead-up to the mid-term elections.
The locusts not only include the foreign invaders, but also the enemies within—as the red-pilled among us have long known, and which Trump, Hegseth, Noem and others have reiterated in recent months.
Did you notice how the Leftist narrative in recent weeks has sought to emphasize the lie that Antifa is leaderless; that it is just an organic, grassroots, and spontaneous gathering of those trying to “save democracy” and prevent America from having a king?
Consider how God noted this in His Word:
Proverbs 30:27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
The “bands” equates to modern “protest marches.”
Judges 6: 5 … and they entered into the land to destroy it.
Is it not clear to all of us by now that these alien invaders have not come into America to assimilate and conform to America’s (formerly) Christian values? What does the election of a communist Muslim as mayor of New York City this past Tuesday show us?
First, that NYC is vastly comprised of a majority of immigrants, with somewhere near 80-90 percent of those voting for Mamdani having not been born in the USA. Nor do they want to live by our values. The commie Mamdani from Uganda has been clear that he prefers Muslim values.
But as anyone who has done their homework knows, the Muslim religion and the Christian religion are not compatible. Our sacred Scriptures address this very plainly.
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
The Christian West fought centuries of wars to prevent the Islamification of then Caucasian Europe. In recent years, their imams/religious leaders have often told the quiet part out loud.
They will come into America posing as “live and let live,” but when the time is right, they will take off their masks and demand Sharia law. This is now happening to our brethren in the United Kingdom and in most of the European nations. They have been likewise flooded with migrants from Muslim countries and they are going down sewer of civilization faster than you can say Obama.
This is also happening at various locations in America. An entire community in Texas is already partly developed and it is said to be for Muslims only and they are demanding Sharia law be the only law within those confines.
Dearborn, Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesota are developing along similar lines. If you are unaware of some of the heinous provisions of the “divine law according to Mohammed,” well, you have your homework assignment. Ladies, you especially will be shocked and awestruck at what you find.
Speaking of Mohammed, did you know that it is now the most common name for newborn males in England? What does that tell us?
Don’t be “woke,” but for (the kingdom of) heaven’s sake, wake up, Christians! Only repentance and a return to the laws of the Christian Bible will bring about our deliverance in this era!
