Barley in the Bible, part 21
At this point in our study of the story of Gideon, who is later described as a “a barley loaf,” we have seen how the ancient Israelites were in such a state of disobedience to the commandments, statutes and judgments of their/our God, that He sent enemy nations to chastise and bring Israel very low.
They invaded Israel’s land like swarms of millions of locusts. This alien invasion resulted in the “locusts” robbing and destroying the beauty, history, and productivity (sustenance) of the land. Consequently, the Israel people were greatly impoverished.
We have shown how this pattern of the history of ancient Israel has almost an exact parallel with modern Israel in America with the “immigration” —actually, an invasion—by swarms of millions of aliens over the past 70 years (even longer, truth be told). This state of affairs has been a long-range fulfillment of Bible prophecies about Israel slated to occur at the end of this 2,000-year-long age.
The unique aspect of our predicament, though, is that the vast majority of Christian-Israelites in America (those with ancestry in the Anglo-Saxon, Keltic, Scandinavian, Germanic, and many other related people groups) have been divinely-blinded to our own biblical identity as the literal descendants of those same ancient Israelites of Gideon’s time!
This blindness of modern Israel was also prophesied in the Scriptures. We have presented many lectures over the decades of this ministry demonstrating and expounding just that. And we shall soon commence a new series here in this space illustrating it in expansive detail.
Like our ancient forefathers, we, too, in recent decades have been greatly impoverished—to the point where many of those whom we today call “red pilled” realize that our God is our only hope. There is no place left to turn except to Yahweh, the God of the Christian Bible.
And thus the children of Israel—now Christianized over the millennia, begin to cry out unto the God of Israel, Yahweh-Jesus (Yahshua), for deliverance from our oppressors. We concluded with this verse last time:
Judges 6:6 And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.
And when they cried unto God, many of the lesser informed of them believed that God would immediately deliver them. But alas, He does not!
Before we continue examining the order of events set forth prophetically regarding our deliverance at this end of an age, readers must first understand that in the Bible, the word “prophet” can have at least two meanings.
Many Christians understand only one. They think that if a person is a prophet, he is someone (male or female) who predicts the future (i.e., that person “prophesies”).
In this sense, note that not all such prophets are godly persons, for there are heathen prophets as well. History is replete with them and they abound to this day. They are the “holy men/women” dedicated to serving to their false gods (e.g., Baal, Moloch/Molech, Ashtaroth/Astarte, Artemis/Diana, ad infinitum.). These heathen prophets are certainly to be classified among the false prophets.
However, in the Bible, “false prophets” has a more singular sense which describes someone who claims to be speaking for the one true God, Yahweh. These prophets are usually either self-deluded or are deliberately and falsely claiming to be speaking for Yahweh, the Most High God, for money or for power or for both. They have been dubbed “prophets for profits.”
The second legitimate meaning of a “prophets” are those in the Christian communities who are led or moved by the Holy Spirit to speak and teach, and are given the power and talent to instruct, comfort, encourage, rebuke, convict, and stimulate their hearers and readers.
That is a paraphrased definition (in part) of the Greek word prophetes {prof-ay'-tace}(Strong’s Reference Number G4396). The full definition in my BibleWorks software is ca. 150 words long.
This kind of prophet may or may not also be endowed with the gift of foretelling the future. One can distinguish the two types of prophets in a simple sentence. One foretells the future; the other forth-tells or tells forth (i.e., expounds) the Scriptures.
With that distinction in mind, we can now proceed from where we left off last time.
Judges 6:7 And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD (Yahweh) because of the Midianites,
8 That the LORD (Yahweh) sent a prophet [not a deliverer!...yet!] unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD (Yahweh) God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;
9 And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;
No, God does not immediately deliver Israel. Because first, Israel must understand why they are in the predicament they are in. So God sends a prophet to do that job. What is the job of these prophets? As shown in verses 8 & 9 above, it is first, to teach Israel who they are. …which implies teaching them their own history. Today our Israel people’s knowledge of our own history is utterly abysmal!
When I say their or our own history, I am speaking only of Americans’ knowledge of our own American history, leaving aside for the moment our biblical history as God’s ancient people Israel.
It is dreadful to see the ignorance (in general) displayed when you ask a dozen people to name the three branches of government, let alone to expect them to be able to cogently explain anything about our Constitution and our God-given rights—as distinguished from privileges given by government.
So that is a primary reason why this prophet (I, and this ministry, SKM) spend considerable time teaching history, which is always linked to how it relates to our people and our history as God’s chosen people, Israel.
Judges 6:10 And I said unto you, I am the LORD (Yahweh) your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, [which here is a generic term for Canaanites], in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.
In our era, this is the prophetic job of those of us who have been given the understanding of our biblical identity as the true Israelites. Think about it. This job can not be done by Judeo-Christians and their ministers, priests, theologians, seminary professors, etc.
Many of them, with apparently honest and sincere belief, claim that 2 Chronicles 7:14 now applies to us so-called gentiles. We will expound at some other time about this increasingly popular verse.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Some among you have attended—as I have—some of the Judeo-Christian meetings, conferences, rallies for God and country and things like that, and we hear them refer to 2 Chronicles 7 :14 frequently.
But as long as our Judeo-Christian brethren are teaching that we are just a bunch of “gentiles” who were just lucky that God goofed when He chose the Jews, but they rejected Him, and so now He has to turn to us, the gentiles—that kind of interpretation makes the whole message of 2 Chronicles 7 :14 sound kind of hollow. Or to say it another way, it makes the Word of God of none effect (Mark 7:13).
After all, how can they make any sense out of verses 8 to 10, which we just read here above, which says that Israel is in dire straits because they disobeyed God’s law when these same Judeo-Christian ministers teach that “you’re not under the law, brother. God took the law out of the way and nailed it to the cross.”
So our first job as identity ministers—and that includes each one of you who knows this truth—we are all ministers of this good news. You don’t have to be standing in a pulpit to be a minister of it. When you tell your friends and neighbors and those who will listen, you are ministering this truth.
Our first job is to do just that, to tell our fellow Americans, our fellow American Israelite slaves, at least those who realize they are enslaved, we need to tell them who they are. And usually before we can get them to even consider that we are God’s chosen people Israel, we have to teach them much history.
Then we tell them that our God, Yahweh, is the very same God who delivered our forefathers from Egypt through the Red Sea, and that He warned us that we had better obey His word. Consequently, because we have not done so, we are in bondage again.
Focusing still on verse 10; but you have not obeyed my voice. Before the 1970’s no one had heard of the term survivalists—more on that later—but I believe we are just now at the point where our people are waking up rapidly to the realization that we are in bondage. This was true to some extent in 1991 (when I first taught the Barley in the Bible series), but it is becoming very obvious since the election of Donald Trump in 2016.
Back in the 1970’s we used to be considered crazy if we tried to tell anybody that we are in economic slavery. That we are in economic bondage. I know about that; I was doing it.
In the present year of 2026, we are, I believe, approaching well over a majority of the people in this country who realize something is drastically wrong. Certainly many recognize the debt bondage if nothing else.
From the incomprehensible national debt of 37 trillion dollars to personal debt from mortgages, cars, credit cards, student loans, HELOCs, etc., the realization that something is wacky is becoming widespread.
As a result, many are reaching a point where they see no other solution except to look to God. There’s nothing new under the sun. We’re just like our forefathers. Our Israel people have done this time after time after time throughout history.
Okay, so the job of the prophets today is to show the people who they are. We at this ministry have followed in the footsteps of those (very small in number) identity ministries before us, and still the greatest awakening has not yet occurred but I am very hopeful that we are on the verge of that tremendous awakening.
One reason I am hopeful is because I observe that many are following the same path that led me to this understanding that we are Israel. That path was first a political awakening.
By much reading and study, I discovered that there is an international cabal of very wicked ones who have been striving for many generations to gradually enslave us, first economically, and then with the gradual imposition of a total surveillance society which brings total slavery.
I worked very hard to try to awaken people to that fact, but after a few years of seeing a few meager political victories, I came to the realization that we patriotic Americans who understood what was going on were never going to be sufficient in numbers to win the war against the gigantic forces who already controlled most institutions in our nation, most crucially, that it all originated in who controls the issuance of currency.
It drove me to seek God as the only One who could bring about the salvation of our nation from the wicked ones. That was in the late 1970’s. During the course of that work on the patriotic level, the Lord God whom I was seeking put an elderly lady in my path.
It was she who first introduced me to the hidden message in the Bible, that we are the literal descendants of the ancient Israel people of the Bible. I was stunned but so intrigued that I spent many months—leading into years—devouring anything and everything I could get my hands on concerning this most intriguing revelation.
Because if that were true, I came to realize, then we as His chosen people can utterly rely on His Word, which prophesies that He will in fact deliver us from the wicked ones at this end of this age.
Therefore, as I am now in 2026 seeing many more people awakening politically to the unfriendly-towards-Christians and oppressive regimes that have ruled over us—especially under Obama and Biden—then I am hoping their spiritual awakening will not be far behind.
Now, back to the pre-deliverance prophets and more about their task. They are to restore an understanding of Israel’s history to the people. For the many in our audience who understand our identity as modern Israel in America, we often find ourselves desiring to go back to study and discover the true facts of history on several levels.
Whether it is distant history or more recent history, as we do, we find that in order to teach others who we are, we have to, in effect, teach history to our people. Why is that? Well, it is quite obvious these days.
Number one, because they will not get the truth—in fact, they get very little of the truth nowadays from the educational institutions. That applies from kindergarten right up through postgraduate work.
In fact, what little historical information is taught to students is mostly lies; it is a twisted and distorted view of American history. It is Marxist theory posing as American history. E.g., the 1619 Project and Critical Race Theory. Garbage!
Secondly, our Christian-Israel people certainly are not going to get historical truth from what is now being truthfully labeled by patriots as the fake news media, also known as the lying legacy media (the formerly “mainstream media”.) I call them the BM, the Babylonian Media. We include the entertainment media as well.
Thirdly, we need to teach history to our people because, when properly understood, history provides the proof of God’s Word, the prophecies in the Bible. We can look back in history and see that God foretold it word for word, or event by event.
Then, after the prophet has done his job—and I believe we’re in that stage and probably getting to the end of that stage—as the prophets have been teaching our true history and concomitantly, showing our people our sins—widespread ignorance and/or rebellion against His commandments, statutes, and judgments, then...
Somewhere along the line of time, while the prophets’ work is having its effect, then God prepares and finally sends a deliverer, or deliverers. By the way, Gideon didn’t just wake up one morning and decide to pick up whatever weapon he had handy and go out and deliver Israel.
He was prepared for the job, even if it was for only a short time. So God prepares and sends a deliverer. In this case, a country bumpkin, a barley loaf called Gideon.
Judges 6:11 And there came an angel of the LORD (Yahweh), and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
Back in those days, and until relatively recent centuries, as a matter of fact, even up through the Middle Ages, people paid taxes by giving wheat or other crops to the rulers. Here it is saying that Gideon threshed wheat by the wine press.
Which is rather weird… because I always thought that they threshed wheat on a threshing floor where you would take a pitchfork or similar tool and throw the stalks of wheat up in the breeze and the wind would blow away the chaff.
What is Gideon doing threshing wheat in a wine press? Many other translations say Gideon was in the wine press, not by the wine press. But still, why was he not threshing his wheat on a threshing floor?
Many people today probably have never seen a wine press. It was a very large, usually wooden barrel open at the top and with a spigot at the bottom.
It was large enough for a couple of men to get inside and with their bare feet they would stomp on and squish the grapes to make the grape juice which quickly fermented into wine.
So, the wine press was of a sufficient size to get inside and thresh some wheat because the verse tells us that Gideon threshed wheat in the wine press to hide it from the Midianites. In other words, Gideon was a tax protester or tax resister; he was a patriotic man who hated the oppression brought about by the alien invaders. Sound familiar?
