Barley in the Bible-part 19
Our study concerning the significance of barley in the Bible is gradually coming to a close, but in so doing, it has led us into a very detailed study of the story of Gideon, one of the judges of ancient Israel.
Gideon is described as a “barley loaf” or a “barley cake,” depending upon which Bible version one is reading. We would miss the importance of that appellation unless we were to dig deeply into the story. As we have been doing so, we find the whole story of Gideon is prophetic and applicable to us who live in this end of an age.
As we left off in part 18, we were still expounding on the first several verses of Judges, chapter 6, which introduce the story of Gideon. Specifically, we saw how our forefathers in ancient Israel were at that time being invaded by hordes of aliens and the people were becoming greatly impoverished.
We were showing how it parallels what has been happening to the United States of America. Many current politicians and pundits are prone to limit the alien immigration invasion of America to merely the four years of the faux Joe Biden administration. A few even point out that it has been going on since the early 2000’s. The truth is that is has been a significant problem for many decades before that.
To that end, we have been quoting from a publication called Youth Action News, to which I subscribed for many years beginning back in the 1970s forward. It was compiled by an individual named C. B. Baker. We now pick up from where we left off in part 18.
Going back to the Youth Action News article on the immigration conspiracy, under the subtitle, “Other Enemies of America,” it says:
QUOTE: In addition to the Trilateral bankers, there are numerous other anti-American groups which are actively promoting the alien invasion of the United States. Communists, Zionists, and even some alleged conservatives are hard at work aiding and abetting the conquering hordes of aliens now marching into America.
The following are but a few examples of these pro-alien activists. The February 6, 1983, Washington Post reported that the U.S. ambassador to Thailand, John Gunther Dean, an influential Zionist Jew, you wouldn’t know it by that name, would you? He was making a passionate case to increase the flow of Cambodian aliens entering the United States, even though America has already admitted tens of thousands of Cambodians.
Most of the Cambodians admitted to the U.S. have ended up on permanent welfare paid for by the hard-pressed U.S. taxpayers. Large numbers of immigration lawyers turn out to be leftist Jews. For example, the Haitian Refugee Center in Miami, Florida, is represented by Ira Kurzban, according to the Associated Press. Kurzban stated, quote, “We had 25 lawyers that were willing to represent the Haitian,” that’s illegal aliens, “on a pro bono basis for free.”
Another Leftist Jew actively promoting the alien conquest of America, and is Congressman Barney Frank. The February 19, 1984 New York Times reported that Frank has introduced legislation to admit 8,000 hardcore Communist Party members and other avowed Marxists into the United States.
Under the present law, such obvious subversive threats to national security of the United States are prohibited from entering America. And Barney wants to turn that around and say, come all you tired, poor, huddled masses, in other words, all you communists and Marxists, come, feast on America.
Dr. George Fariol’s research paper on U.S. immigration policy described the alien-promoting actions of the ultra-leftist Institute for Policy Studies, which is organizing what it terms third-world communities in the United States around immigration issues, asserting that people have the right to immigrate to the United States.
Dr. Fariol stated, “in effect these organizations and many like them are tempting the dissolution of U.S. sovereignty”, which has been a long-term goal of the Trilateral international bankers, now the great alien amnesty hoax. END QUOTE
In the past year (2025), while others (including conservative commentators) are noting the 15-20 million illegal alien immigrants who entered in the Biden administration, President Trump has begun stating the truth: that there are over 50 million illegals here because it goes back to the 1980s with the Simpson-Mazzoli bill, and even before that with an immigration bill in 1965 in the LBJ administration.
Returning to the script from my lecture in 1991, I continued quoting from C. B. Baker’s analysis (with all emphasis and comments within [brackets] mine) as Baker stated…
QUOTE: …the true purpose of the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration bill is to increase immigration and to prevent any new laws to deport the 20 million illegal aliens now in the USA. This result of the Simpson Mazzoli bill was demonstrated in an article in the September 28th, 1982 New York Times written by Michael S. Teitelbaum, a Jewish CFR insider and senior associate of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace which is a leftist, tax-exempt think tank.
Teitelbaum stated if immigration reforms like those in Simpson-Mazzoli were to be blocked, emasculated, or poorly enforced, a plausible consequence down the road would be mass roundups and deportations of illegal aliens already in the country.
Failure to reform the law would also mean drastic increases in police activities along the borders. In other words, the worst fears of those pushing the Simpson-Mazzoli bill are that America’s borders would be effectively patrolled and that 20 million illegals now in the U.S. might be deported.
Under the Simpson-Mazzoli amnesty scheme, 20 million illegal aliens in the United States will be made legal, and shortly qualify for legal welfare and other taxpayer funded public support. This amnesty will thus serve as a giant magnet to attract tens of millions of additional illegal aliens coming into the U.S. hoping for the next amnesty, and Mexican leaders are fully aware that a U.S. amnesty for aliens will increase the flow of Mexicans into the U.S.
Mexico City’s leading newspaper, Excelsior, discussed such an amnesty in 1987 in an editorial that said, “the recommended legislation, a type of amnesty for illegal immigrants, would inevitably produce a euphoric reaction among the millions of Mexicans who want to resettle abroad and the flow of the undocumented aliens [There we see the euphemism again by the fake news: undocumented aliens,] “who constantly cross the United States borders would greatly increase since neither resources nor effective systems are in place to prevent this flow or to return those immigrants to their own country.” END QUOTE from C. B. Baker’s Youth Action News.
That leads me straight into an article from the Atlanta Journal published about a year ago {i.e., ca. 1990} where it says (and again, all emphasis and comments within [brackets] are mine)
QUOTE: [Headline] U.S. immigration law draws mixed reviews. From the New York Times service. The most sweeping effort to halt illegal immigration in U.S. history—The 1986 overhaul of the immigration law. PAUSE QUOTE
We must read between the lines and think. Is that what it really was? “the most sweeping effort to halt illegal immigration”…? Of course not!
QUOTE: The Simpson-Mazzoli bill has cut the flow of illegal aliens less than expected and may have encouraged unlawful entry in several unintended ways,… [I]ndicators used by the INS, the Immigration and Naturalization Service, to estimate alien traffic shows that this year there will be 1.7 million to 2.5 million illegal crossings of the southern border.
[Think about that. Those are numbers equal to or exceeding those in the years of the Biden administration—but almost no one mentions all these invaders who have now been here over 30 years!]
The most recent statistics signal that the flow may have increased in April and May. Separate surveys of illegal aliens conducted by researchers in Mexico, Texas and Venezuela, California, all found that immigration by first-time travelers had risen for at least a year.
Experts also agree that the flow had dropped off through most of 1987. … There is evidence that many potential immigrants waited for a while to see how the law worked and have since begun moving again.
If so, we should see the flow across the border accelerating any day, says Doris Meissner, an expert on immigration for the Carnegie Endowment, a Washington research organization.
Continuing to quote from the Atlanta Journal, and this is two or three years after the Simpson-Mazzoli so-called immigration reform bill passed, it says “recent studies show that many thousands of people crossed the border surreptitiously to take advantage of the program some with falsified documents and personal histories.” The mass of newly legalized immigrants also is acting as a magnet for illegal aliens… END QUOTE.
That is exactly what analyst C. B. Baker predicted several years before it passed in 1986. Baker had said the Simpson-Mazzoli Act would serve as a giant magnet to attract tens of millions of additional illegal aliens. And so looking in hindsight, did they really want it to stop illegal immigration?
Of course not! They wanted to increase it. The Leftist politicians of both parties always sell something under the guise of something good and desirable, when its actual purpose is another. That’s why when we hear of tax reform, hold on to your wallet.
Here’s another article, this one from just a month ago or so [1991], from the Charlotte Observer. QUOTE: [Headline] Mexican migrants watch “light fighting” while waiting to slip into the U.S.
San Diego. As dusk fell on the U.S.-Mexican border, hundreds of motorists gathered along a roadway and turned their headlights on group of migrants waiting patiently for nightfall.
Facing the harsh beams of light, counter-protesters chanted “no mas racismo” which means “no more racism,” and they held up mirrors and sheets of dark plastic trying to reflect the glare back to the cars. With the chill of night closing in, the face-off disintegrated into alternating volleys of name-calling. Nazis, wetback lovers.
So goes the “Light Up the Border” campaign, composed of mostly Anglo citizens trying to stop the continued stream of undocumented immigrants. [See the words again, “undocumented immigrants”. They are illegal aliens.] as the participants and counter-participants agree on one thing. U.S. laws, specifically the Simpson-Mazzoli bill, or the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, have failed abysmally in turning back the daily tide of undocumented humanity from Mexico and elsewhere. END QUOTE
That’s all I’m going to quote from that. We could go on ad infinitum. There have been numerous books written about the illegal immigration problem.
It’s happening in South Florida, it’s happening in California, with the southeast Asians and people from all over the globe coming here. And of course, if you watch carefully, you’ll see articles about all the Soviet immigration also. And what ethnic group comprise a large percentage of the Soviets that are emigrating to America? Jews.
Who ever heard of masses of Christians able to get out of the Soviet Union? I have not. Every article, if you read it between the lines, or even right there, they’ll tell you. Here’s one that’s all about this is from last September. “U.S. refugee limits worry Soviets,” Charlotte Observer. I’m not going to read much of it, but it’s about Jewish immigration to the United States.
“U.S. embassy officials, following ceilings set in Washington, said they will accept 50,000 Soviet refugees next year and let another 20 to 30,000 enter the country on a parole system.” So 70 to 80,000 more Jews coming in this year from Russia. Do you think they’re just going to be happy they’re in America, the land of the free and the home of the brave?
Or do you suspect that many of these from Russia, many of those from Vietnam and Cambodia, from the Cuban Mariel boat lift in 1980, and all of these others aspects of the invasion of America have among them—maybe many of them—agents in place, (sleepers) waiting for the military aspect of this invasion to begin?
We know it’s going to occur, just as the Bible has told us. So, those are the locusts, the illegal aliens destroying America. And I said previously, they are also identified as bureaucrats. You have to license everything you do nowadays. You have to pay a tax on everything you do and in some places, on everything you own.
There’s an article which I have in my files about a new law in the state of Oklahoma which requires every Oklahoma citizen or household to inventory and to list every single piece of personal property you have, down to your silverware, your napkins, and of course, your firearms.
That’s Oklahoma, that’s not the Soviet Union. And if you don’t do it, they will come in with the sheriff and do it for you. And then you must pay a tax on every single thing that you own—every year! Plus, pay penalties if you don’t comply.
Taxes on everything, and that will be a model law; you mark my words. It’ll move from state to state to state, trying to implement the very same thing or something very similar. [The city of Asheville/Buncombe County now does the same thing.]
Remember from part 18 as we discussed this verse about the various types of locusts. Think bureaucrats.
Joel 1:4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten.
Many average Americans nowadays lives payday to payday and barely making ends meet. And just when a man thinks that he’s getting ahead a little bit, somebody moves the goalposts (raises the taxes, fees, consumer prices by inflation, etc.) Who’s moving the goalposts?
Well, the lawmakers and bureaucrats are, yes; but what did Yahweh tell us in Joel 2:25? That these locusts are His great army which He sent among us. Just as we are seeing back in Gideon’s time, there were the Midianites, the Amalekites and the children of the East invading the land of Israel.
Likewise, the same is happening to us, latter-day Israel in the USA! God sent His great army of “locusts” (alien invaders and swarms of bureaucrats) among us to bring us low until we repent. To repeat, this was true in the days of Gideon, and it is true today in America!
Judges 6:4 And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.
In the next installment, we will show a third way that the increase of the earth is being destroyed.
