Cheap and natural cure for cancer?
Friar Romano Zago holding a leaf of the aloe plant | Photo from his website linked below.

Some call it “a cheap cure for cancer” You decide. What if it actually does work?

KJV 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

A few days ago, I was chatting with a friend of Mexican origin who is a devout Roman Catholic. We were talking about the curse of cancer and how we each knew of many relatives or friends who were stricken and died from that wretched disease.

In the course of the conversation she asked if I had ever heard of the Franciscan friar named Romano Zago. I had not, so she told me how he has popularized an ancient folk remedy which seems to be having “miraculous” results.

Here is what I found about him at this link, and here are the first couple sentences. Emphasis is in the original. QUOTE:

Father Romano Zago is a Franciscan friar from Brazil, who has become famous all over the world for discovering and disseminating a “miraculous” natural recipe to cure cancer. What is it?

Nothing special, a simple juice made with some honey, a few tablespoons of distillate (vodka, or gin, or whisky, etc.) and the leaves of a peculiar plant that grows wild in the tropical forests and coastal areas of Brazil and most of the areas with warm-temperate climate of the world. I’m talking about the Aloe Arborescens. END QUOTE

The exact recipe was not on that website but with a little searching, I found this recipe: QUOTE:

The recipe popularized by Father Romano Zago is a natural preparation made from Aloe Arborescensraw honey, and a distilled spirit (such as grappa, whiskey, or cognac).  It is traditionally used as a dietary supplement to support the immune system and detoxification, with proponents claiming it helps the body heal from various illnesses, including cancer.

Ingredients

  • Aloe Arborescens leaves: Approximately 350 grams (about 3–5 large leaves).  The plant should ideally be at least 4–5 years old and organically grown.
  • Raw Honey500 grams (organic, unprocessed honey is preferred) [500 grams of honey = 1½ cups – JWB].  Some variations use agave nectar for a lower glycemic index.
  • Distilled Spirit40–50 ml (roughly 2–3 tablespoons) of a clear alcohol like grappawhiskeycognac, or vodka.  This acts as a preservative and carrier.

Preparation Steps

1.    Harvesting: Cut leaves from a mature plant that has not been watered for 7–8 days. Harvest during low light (dawn or dusk) to preserve active ingredients.

2.    Cleaning: Wipe the leaves with a dry cloth to remove dust; do not wash with water.  Remove the thorns along the edges but leave the green skin intact

3.    Blending: Chop the leaves into small pieces and place them in a blender. Add the honey and distilled spirit.

4.    Mixing: Blend until a homogeneous, viscous mixture is formed. Do not filter or heat the mixture.

5.    Storage: Pour into a dark glass jar and store in the refrigerator.  Use within a few weeks for maximum potency.

Usage

  • Dosage: Typically 3 tablespoons per day, taken 20–30 minutes before meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
  • Note: The mixture should be shaken well before each use.

I found the big aloe leaves (like those shown in the feature photo above) at my local Whole Foods store. I am not afflicted with cancer but I plan to give this remedy a try. But if I did have that wretched disease, I would have the attitude: what do I have to lose by trying it? It is cheap, easy to make, and contains no Big Pharma chemical concoctions.

Do your own research/homework and if you know of someone who tries it, please let me know if it helped or not.
