More on the Southern Preposterous Lie Center

Beginning this past April, we posted three blogs detailing my own personal experiences with the Southern Poverty Law Center. Their attacks against me and SKM date back many decades, long before the SPLC added organizations like Moms for Liberty and Turning Point USA to their list of “hate” groups.

Readers can find those three blogs here, here, and here. We are so very pleased to see the Trump Department of Justice, including the FBI, exposing these wicked people for who they are.

In the meantime, long-time patriot publisher Bob Livingston wrote a piece on the SPLC on May 23, 2026, which our readers will find educational. I had subscribed to Bob’s monthly printed newsletter for many years, but now receive his free, almost daily email version.

QUOTE: The Southern Poverty Law Center exists in a very terrifying version of America. In their paranoid land, a wannabe Nazi is hiding behind every lamppost, and your local Army installation may be run by Confederate soldiers.

The SLPC has always gone to great trouble to make a connection between mainstream small-government conservatives and actual extremists who operate in white supremacist and neo-Nazi circles.

In addition to bundling conservatives with avowed fascists, the SLPC also speaks of the American political right in the same breath as it does radical jihadists.

The left-wing nonprofit has a nasty history of applying the “hate” label to organizations simply for supporting conservative ideals because — as many people are now discovering, but as you and I have known for years — the SPLC is an attack dog of the political left, advancing the false meme that all liberty lovers are terrorists and racists who are plotting to march on Washington with guns blazing, and largely ignoring actual hate and violence coming from the left.

We Knew Ye, Before

In 2017, I wrote in The Bob Livingston Letter®, “As the mainstream media tells it, hate groups are always white and Right. This lets them further the agenda that tells you hate groups on the left are for ‘justice’ where groups that advocate conservative principles are all white supremacist, neo-Nazi, and ‘alt-right.’”

“Media editors and journalists have routinely cited the list of hate groups compiled by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an authoritative source, without questioning by what authority the Southern Preposterous Lie Center, as I like to call it, arbitrates who and what constitutes a hate group.

Their idiotic ‘list’ puts actual hate groups together with peaceable law-abiding churches, journalists, and groups opposed to illegal immigration.

“More than half of the 800-plus ‘groups’ on the SPLC list were ‘non-existent, existed in name only, or were inactive,’” according to an examination by Laird Wilcox, a researcher specializing in the study of political fringe movements. Many were no more than a post office box or a toxic website.

“Of those on the list that are real, many are simply groups that champion ideas not approved by the left. ‘Anyone who opposes the hegemony of the liberal elite is a hater,’” charges Church Militant, a Catholic activist organization that was itself labeled a hate group.

The media desperately wanted us to believe the rising tide of outrage from the left manifested a grassroots groundswell of public indignation. Yet now we know that there was very little mention of white supremacy in the media until Trump’s first White House term. Curious, don’t you think?

It seems even more curious that the SPLC put Turning Point USA on their hate map, and Charlie Kirk was assassinated less than 4 months later.

No, the powerful hands pulling the strings to make the puppets riot in the streets were the very billionaires (like George Soros and others whom I named back then) and other Leftist luminaries funding the movement to discredit any organization that is not on the Left, be it Libertarian, conservative, or simply Republican.

The SLPC is well-funded and well-orchestrated by wealthy elitist puppeteers for the purpose of creating a massive leftist profit-driven grievance industry that exists to take advantage of people’s gullibility and hate crime laws and exploit them for their benefit.

Awareness

The liberal establishment is stacked against all conservatives and libertarians who refuse to buy into or compromise with the socialist precepts of the elitists. Be even more skeptical of propaganda sources such as The New York Times, LA Times, HuffPost, and MS NOW.

It’s a small shift in perception that will let you see the half-truths, distortions, and outright lies in the media, the puppets of those whom you cannot trust, as The Western Journal opined, “Democrats will never concede that organizations like SPLC have embellished or even manufactured ‘racism’ and ‘white supremacy.’ They have too much of their identities and self-worth wrapped up in the illusion that they represent tolerance and decency.”

If you attend conservative political rallies/demonstrations/protests/town hall meetings, be on the lookout for leftist troublemakers (some of them possibly armed) and be prepared to defend yourself — with force if necessary.

Where laws and the venue permit, you could be armed with pepper spray, a retractable steel baton, or even a concealed carry handgun. Just be legal... and careful. Leave the site in groups and be sure you’re not followed home.

If you choose to declare your political/social preferences in any way, never post or share your phone number or address in public places. A favorite tactic of the liberals is “doxing” — revealing people’s names and personal information online to expose and try to “shame” anyone known to oppose liberal causes so that they can be harassed and threatened.

Yours for the truth,
Bob Livingston
