In yesterday’s blog we introduced the topic of what I call “the arms and legs” of Mystery Babylon. By this point in our studies of Mystery Babylon and the Stone Kingdom, all readers recognize that my use of that term, “arms and legs” in the context of this lesson, is not referring to the arms and legs of the statue seen in King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.
Rather, we speak here of the manifestations of Mystery Babylon in our era. The legs are the major points of control, and they are three in number as we are interpreting Revelation 16:19 And the great city [Mystery Babylon] was divided into three parts,…
We identified those three parts as the three “legs” (i.e., major areas of control), which included the financial/economic, religious, and political spheres of activity. I then listed ten other spheres of activity (the “arms”) which modern Mystery Babylon exercises almost total control over at this point in history. I was making comments on a few of those legs and commenced with “our” legal system.
There is also the educational arm of Mystery Babylon. In America, we once had a relatively godly educational system, where it was based on the Bible and where it was controlled completely at the community level by the parents, not a professional educators and administrators class.
Oh, did I mention something about two systems existing side by side in the legal arm? …Same thing here. Our once godly educational system is almost dormant and another system has been dominant for close to a century.
But God always has a remnant and there is a remnant—and a growing remnant, I do believe—which is represented by and found in the home school movement and in some private Christian schools.
But as far as public education is concerned, today there is a window dressing of local control. However, because great sums of money are doled out by the federal government, through the states to the local communities, the control comes from above. Furthermore, the local educators and administrators have been trained in the teacher colleges at our universities to be pliant minions in the system.
Most of them are nice people—innocent souls who have been duped into being part of a system which wars against the very ideas and ideals of personal liberty and true Christianity. We have been hearing a lot about the teacher unions lately, with the protests both in Wisconsin and North Carolina and other states who have such severe state budget problems that serious cuts have to be made.
And so we have seen images on the news of the groups of “activists” who have been bused into the state capitals to protest. For example, in Madison, Wisconsin, what struck me immediately was their “uniform,” if you wish to call it that, but it certainly identified their agenda simply by the color of their tee shirts. They are red. And that was not a random choice on the part of the “community organizers.”
Most of today’s teachers have grown up and have been educated—or more accurately—have been indoctrinated in the higher educational system since the break-up of the Soviet Union.
I can safely say without fear of contradiction that they have no idea of the true nature and track record of Red communism, Red Bolshevism, Red socialism, and all its stains of massive bloodshed on the pages of history. But again, more on that in a later lecture perhaps.
These good folks—the pawns in the local schools—have no idea of the long-range implications and effects of the educational philosophy which they have been trained to implement. I could go on in this vein at length, speaking of John Dewey and others, and perhaps I will in a later lecture, but for now…
Closely related to the idea of the education arm of Mystery Babylon is what we could call the intellectual arm. It would refer, of course, to the post-graduate levels in academia; the Ph. D’s whose philosophies of education permeate and filter down to the local levels and to the elementary and even pre-kindergarten levels of education.
President Obama’s close friend is a prime example in this aspect. He is the man who has now admitted he was the ghost writer of Obama’s first autobiography. He is Bill Ayers. As some of my older readers may recall, Ayers was a leader of the terrorist organization called the Weather Underground, whose bombings killed and maimed people in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Ayers has never repudiated his terrorist activities. In fact, he has stated that they should have done more, and he was referring to the bombings. But today, in the years since the 1970s, Ayers has gradually risen to a position of enormous power in the educational establishment.
In my view and understanding, what I and my generation began calling “the Establishment” back in the Viet Nam war era, is now part and parcel of Mystery Babylon in my lexicon.
That’s right, Doctor Ayers, you had so zealously fought against the so-called Establishment in the late ’60s and early ’70s, and yet you spent the rest of your career climbing up the rungs of power within it. Something smells rotten here.
So that Dr. Bill Ayers going from an anarchist in the streets to the gilded towers of the educational establishment is not really him changing sides, but rather it is that the Leftist radicals of the Sixties and Seventies have now actually moved into the positions of power in America. Here is a bit of his biography and career from Wikipedia.
Before I quote, I would quickly add that Wikipedia is not a source that can usually be taken as the gospel truth, but in this case, I believe it is truthful. Wikipedia might seem anti-Establishment, or “counter-culture” on its face, but it is anything but.
It is just a more clever tool of controlling information and making it seem fair and impartial—you know, kind of like we been told that the mainstream media supposedly have been all these many decades. So always have your critical thinking cap on when you consult Wikipedia.

“ William Charles “Bill” Ayers (born December 26, 1944) is an American elementary education theorist and a former leader in the movement that opposed U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. He is known for his 1960s activism as well as his current work in education reform, curriculum, and instruction.
“In 1969 he co-founded the Weather Underground, a self-described communist revolutionary group that conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings during the 1960s and 1970s, in response to U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.
“He is a retired professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, formerly holding the titles of Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar.”
I daresay that most Americans never heard of him in recent decades, until the election of Barack Obama, unless some of us remember Ayers from the Weather Underground days—I certainly remember hearing of his present wife in those days, Bernardine Dohrn. Oh, and speaking of rising to power in the Establishment, here’s some of the entry in Wikipedia concerning her:
“Bernardine Rae Dohrn (née Ohrnstein,) is an American former leader of the anti-Vietnam War radical organization Weather Underground. She is an Associate Professor of Law at Northwestern University School of Law and the immediate past Director of Northwestern’s Children and Family Justice Center. She is married to Bill Ayers, a co-founder of the Weather Underground.
“Bernardine Dohrn was born Bernadine Ohrnstein in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1942 and grew up in Whitefish Bay, an upper-middle-class suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her father, Bernard, changed the family surname to Dohrn when Bernardine was in high school. Her father was Jewish and her mother, Dorothy, was a Christian Scientist with a Swedish background.”
Now returning to Ayers’ bio in Wikipedia. It says:

“Ayers is married to Bernardine Dohrn, a fellow former leader of the Weather Underground. They have two adult children and shared legal guardianship of Chesa Boudin, son of Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert.
Boudin and Gilbert were former Weather Underground members who later joined the May 19 Communist Organization and were jailed for their roles in that group’s Brinks robbery. Chesa Boudin went on to win a Rhodes scholarship.”
I read that much to get to the part about the Rhodes scholarship. How many of you have heard of the Rhodes scholarships program? (I would expect that this audience here would have more familiarity with the program than most Americans.)
Back in the 1970s, I had a friend who was offered a Rhodes Scholarship, but after I “dumped the whole load” on him one evening (i.e., I “red-pilled” him long before we used that term), he decided to reject the offer. I cannot say it was solely because of what I told him, but it very well could have played a major part in his decision.
One thing is clear, if you know anything at all about Rhodes scholars, they usually have a path to the top of their profession laid out and handed to them, if they abide by the unwritten rules.
Once again, we are going to forego much discussion of that for now, but it is, in fact, a very significant part of the machinations of Mystery Babylon in the past century or more. By the way, can you tell me which recent U. S. president was a Rhodes scholar? (Answer: Bill Clinton)
I also found this part of the Wikipedia entry revealing about Bill Ayers.
“Radical bomber Jane Alpert criticized Ayers in 1974 ‘for his callous treatment and abandonment of Diana Oughton before her death, and for his generally fickle and high-handed treatment of women.’
In 2001, Ayers published a memoir, Fugitive Days, to mixed reviews. Timothy Noah‘s 2001 Slate Magazine review says he can’t recall reading ‘a memoir quite so self-indulgent and morally clueless as Fugitive Days.’ By contrast, Studs Terkel called the book ‘a deeply moving elegy to all those young dreamers who tried to live decently in an indecent world.’ ”
Quite a whitewashing comment, wouldn’t you say? “To live decently in an indecent world…” Really? ….by bombing public buildings, Dr. Ayers?
Quoting again from the Wiki article: Sol Stern is a longtime critic of Ayers; he has ‘studied Mr. Ayers’s work for years and read most of his books.’ Stern has written critiques of Ayers’s career as an education reformer for City Journal and elsewhere. [quoting Sol Stern:] ‘The media mainstreaming of a figure like Mr. Ayers could have terrible consequences for the country’s politics and public schools.’ His criticism in summary: ‘Calling Bill Ayers a school reformer is a bit like calling Joseph Stalin an agricultural reformer.’ ” [end of quote from Sol Stern and end of quoting Wikipedia]
I could not agree more with Sol Stern’s criticisms. Younger readers who have not been taught the realities of socialism and communism need to know about Stalin even if only in a one sentence summary here. In succeeding Lenin as the communist dictator of the Soviet Union, Stalin deliberately imposed starvation policies on Ukraine and is estimated to have been responsible for almost four million deaths there alone, not to mention many millions more in his tyrannical rule.
I had stated above that Bill Ayers has gradually risen to a position of enormous power in the educational establishment. The enormous power, of course, lies in the fact that if one writes textbooks used by teachers in the classroom, then you are quite influential—and Bill Ayers did that.
But if one also write textbooks for the professors who teach the teachers, then that is a step beyond, and such a “scholar” is really at the pinnacle of power and influence in the educational establishment. Did you get that?
Ayers wrote textbooks which are used by the teachers who teach the teachers, who teach students all the way down to the very receptive and malleable minds of our preschoolers! And what is the prevailing philosophy of education emanating from Bill Ayers and his fellow radicals who are now firmly ensconced in the educational establishment? It is a philosophy which goes back to ancient times! Stay tuned.
