In every denomination baby Christians (and some of them are octogenarians or older, having never grown much beyond that stage, but regardless) all Christians seek the kingdom of God/kingdom of heaven. How do we know this? Because whenever they pray the Lord’s prayer, they beseech God for “Thy kingdom come…”
What is a kingdom? Well, for the details of the kingdom of God/heaven, we have (thus far) provided a series of 52 lectures (link here to synopses), but in one word, the kingdom is about government—“on earth as it is in heaven.”
How is our government on earth looking right now? Terribly corrupt, most would agree. Therefore, we now offer for your enlightenment and encouragement over this weekend a look at the current state of affairs in our government and how that is soon going to change, Lord willing.
We always are heartened by “Dave Episode’s” wide-ranging and thorough discussion of what is happening now, and this episode from yesterday is no exception. It is excellent!

Here are just a handful of my notes made while listening to this podcast. I had no time to elaborate on them, except one.
PRSA is the Public Relations Society of America. As senior students at Ohio State we were members of the PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America).
The PRSA Annual Convention was going to be an opportunity for us to rub shoulders with some of the heavyweights in the profession and hopefully be able to land a job when we graduated.
One of our classmates did land a job in NYC, but he later told me the cost of living was so extremely high that I was much better off having landed a job with a private PR firm in the Worthington suburb of Columbus.

While doing the tourist thing in Manhattan, the five of us went up into the World Trade Center tower as high as you were allowed to go at that time, as it was not finished. So we went up to the 80th floor. But being a rebellious type of young man, I decided to take the stairs up to the next floor…but that’s another story.
Oh, one final thought on that: having been to NYC that one time, I have no desire to ever visit there again; it’s a madhouse!
The second thing that came to mind as I heard of the United Healthcare CEO’s murder was that as a General Contractor in Palm Beach County, Florida, Bruggeman Construction had built an office building for them in the mid-1980s. Here is a snapshot of it which I finally located in my collection this morning. But as you can see, my memory was mistaken for it was not the same insurance company. Oh, well…
