For the first time since August, this past weekend we were able to finally congregate once again with our Stone Kingdom Fellowship (SKF) groups in eastern Tennessee (on Saturday) and (on Sunday) central Georgia.
During the prayer session in our SKF-Georgia gathering, one of our ladies requested prayer for her niece (name withheld) who was a very close friend of murdered nursing student Laken Riley.
Our SKF member (Lydia—not her real name) said that her niece and Laken were in classes together (University of Georgia in Athens, GA), often went out together, attended the UGA Bulldogs football games together, went on weekend trips together…very close.
Lydia was choking back tears as she told of her conversations with her niece who is still understandably very traumatized by the brutal slaughter and attempted rape of her dear friend, Laken.
Please join us (SKF-GA) in prayer for Lydia’s niece, who is so emotionally scarred at this point that she can barely function—that she can recover (to some degree) from this horrible tragedy.
We understand that no normal person would be able to ever recover completely from such a trauma. Words cannot express…
I did not check the fake news networks and cable channels to see if they covered the story at all, but both Fox News and Newsmax were reporting on the trial with partly live coverage of the courtroom proceedings, and otherwise many minutes of their news cycle being devoted to the news of the trial.

You don’t want to view some of the information and video footage that came out of the trial. Poor Laken apparently fought for 18 minutes as the cold-blooded savage was trying to rape her and then beat her skull with a rock so that she was virtually unrecognizable.
Yesterday, the now convicted murderer, Jose Ybarra, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, and member of the Tren De Aragua gang, which is said to be more vicious than the notorious MS-13 gangs now polluting our land, was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
This is raising much anger not only in the Athens, Georgia community but across the nation after it was reported that the former Georgia prosecutor had decided not to seek the death penalty.
In an editorial, the New York Post opined that QUOTE: Laken Riley killer Jose Ibarra deserved the death penalty, not mercy from the left. … But Deborah Gonzalez, the leftist prosecutor initially in charge of the case, refused to seek the death penalty.
That obscenity was part of a policy she implemented in 2021, claiming that “collateral consequences to undocumented defendants” would determine how she charged them. Collateral consequences to undocumented defendants?
What about the people they rob, rape, and murder?
Ibarra, remember, was an illegal migrant invited here and then welcomed by the Biden administration: After jumping the border in 2022, he got bused on the taxpayers’ dime to New York City, to enjoy more taxpayer-funded food and shelter as he worked illegally in food delivery.
In 2023, he was arrested for child endangerment. The NYPD let him slip so fast that ICE says it had no time to issue a detainer — then the Biden crew paid for him to fly to Atlanta to join some kin.
Then, in February this year, Ibarra tried to sexually assault Riley as she jogged on the University of Georgia campus. She bravely fought back; Ibarra beat her to death with a rock.
Almost from the start, Gonzalez made it clear that she intended to go as easy as possible on Ibarra — and while her pro-crime record sparked outrage that forced her to recuse herself and put a special prosecutor in charge, the damage was done.
At every turn, in every moment, the nation and state and city that Riley called home failed and failed and failed her. And now they have failed her again.
Yes, Gonzalez is now (thank God!) soon to be gone, crushed in a DA election along with other lefty prosecutors across the nation. Yes, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who share responsibility for Riley’s death, will soon be gone too.
But for Laken and her loved ones, it’s far too late. The border policy Donald Trump has outlined is at this point the only way to end the carnage. END QUOTE
As God had planned it—for I certainly did not plan it to coincide with the trial of Laken, and did not know of Lydia’s connection to the case via her niece—but as I returned to another installment in our series, The Laws of the Stone Kingdom, I was led to begin a study of the Sixth Commandment.
The lecture title is Murder, Manslaughter, and Sanctuary Cities. After the Bible study, Lydia and her husband “couldn’t agree more” with the content of the lecture, as we embarked on a multipart series concerning “Thou shalt not kill.” That lecture will go out next week to those on our CD Ministry.
There is so much there to be explored that we barely scratched the surface on “sanctuary cities,” which in the Bible are designated as “cities of refuge.” Readers can request the CD for $15 or ask to be on our CD Ministry for a suggested gift of $15 per month to support our overall work.
The NY Post also has this related story:
Unfortunately, the judges hands were tied by the actions of former DA Gonzalez and the maximum sentence he could give Ybarra, the judge did.
Exodus 21:12 He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.
13 And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.
Verse 13 refers to manslaughter, and is the first reference to a “city of refuge.” Look at how cities of refuge in the USA, aka “sanctuary cities (or states)” have been turned into the exact opposite of what God has commanded and ordained.
It is going to be interesting to observe how the arrogant and defiant mayors and governors of blue cities/states react when Tom Homan (the new Trump appointee for border czar) and his men come to their jurisdictions to deport the lawbreaking immigrants.
(Screen grab)
By definition, all illegal aliens are criminals, having broken the law when they crossed our border. We do understand (and agree, of course) that the highest priority of Homan and company should be to arrest and deport the worst criminals first.
Pray daily for Mr. Trump and his team that the black hats will be unable to accomplish their goal of thwarting the will of the electorate in this very nationally dangerous period between now and January 20th.
