We left off yesterday discussing one of the present-day “arms” of Mystery Babylon; namely, the educational system. We saw how an unrepentant, 1960s terrorist named Bill Ayers went on in life to become ensconced in the ivory tower of the American educational establishment.
He has received numerous accolades as a highly regarded expert in the field of elementary and down through early childhood education (read: indoctrination). And what is the prevailing philosophy of Ayers and his fellow radicals?
It is nothing more than a variation of that which was espoused by the ancient Greek philosopher Plato. I discussed it briefly in my book, Sacred Secrets of the Sovereignty of God. So, may I quote a passage from one of my favorite authors? (wink, wink)
“Education in America is the second great institution which has now become an idol. Why? Because education, like the federal government, is also seen as a savior. First, let us obtain some background on education in general before we examine our American system and its Pelagian connection. The accurate and reliable 1911 scholar’s edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica states:
‘Many definitions have been given of the word “education,” but underlying them all is the conception that it denotes an attempt on the part of the adult members of a human society to shape the development of the coming generation in accordance with its own ideals of life.’
“The article then goes on to describe the educational philosophy of Plato, the ancient Greek philosopher. See if this sounds familiar:
‘Education should be regulated in all its details by the state authority, should be compulsory on all free citizens, and should be uniform for all, at any rate, in its earlier stages.’ [Emphasis mine — JWB]
“If that does not raise a red flag, there is more:
‘For the guardian-citizens of the ideal state, family life and family ties are abolished; no lower community is to be allowed to enter into competition with the state.’
“In other words, the so-called ‘lower community,’ i.e., the family, is subservient to the state. Parents are not to be allowed to enter into competition with the state (government overseers) for your child’s mind. Continuing to quote from the encyclopedia article:
‘Aristotle [Plato’s star pupil], indeed, did not go to these extreme lengths; he allowed the family to remain, but he seems to have regarded it as likely to affect children more for evil than for good.’
“This is very much the same socialist-collectivist philosophy of the National Education Association. The NEA is the public school teachers’ “union,” which all public school teachers are pressured to the point of being virtually forced to join. Although many fine teachers are utterly opposed to such totalitarian goals, their dues money is used to push the collectivist agenda. Praise God for Christian teachers in public schools.”
And then I had this footnote:
“For readers who may have little inkling of what is so undesirable about socialism, may we recommend an absolutely brilliant and very readable little book called The Law. Written in 1848 by a French statesman, Frederic Bastiat, it is still without peer today for the simplicity of its presentation and for its unassailable logic.”
The Law can be found online.
And so, there we have shown how the ancient educational philosophy of the Greeks has continued all down through the ages and through the course of empires until this present day where it is found flourishing at the hands of the Bill Ayers and his fellow socialists.
Of course, the same philosophy is found in the science establishment today, where science is a tool to be used for the profit and for the benefit of the elites of the ruling class who today are found in what has been termed the Corporate State—referring to those who control and operate the largest multinational corporations.
Obviously, I am not referring to the moms and pops who may have some teensy-weensy, little share of many giant corporations in their stock portfolios. Because after all, what influence do the relatively insignificant shareholders have on the global corporate scale. It’s like a drop of spit in the ocean.
Let us now look at Revelation 18. The science arm leads us to the arm of Mystery Babylon which we could call Medicine and Big Pharma, Big Pharma being shorthand for the major pharmaceutical corporations.
And once again, we find two systems in existence. The one we just described which refers to the now-orthodox, allopathic approach to medicine. It is the approach which heavily incorporates the use of Big Pharma’s drugs, along with radiation and chemotherapy, for example, as the accepted and ordinary means of treating cancer.
For several years, we have stocked two DVDs which are shocking exposés of the pharmaceutical industry. One is called The Marketing of Madness: Are We All Insane? The other is titled Making a Killing: The Untold Story of Psychotropic Drugging. We no longer stock them, but they can be found online, perhaps for free viewing.
Important caveat: They are produced by an organization called the Citizens Commission on Human Rights, which is a front for the Church of Scientology. Need I say more? These excellent documentaries, however, are a perfect example of how sometimes one can find a treasure in the trash!
The Bible speaks very pointedly about the arm we are calling Big Pharma. Their mind-controlling and body-destroying drugs are identified in the Bible. Speaking of the monstrous, end time, world-ruling system, described prophetically as MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, the Bible describes one of its means of controlling the people in Revelation 18:23, the last half of which reads thus:
Revelation 18:23 …for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
The word “sorceries” is the King James Version’s translation of the Greek word pharmakeia—sounds like pharmacy, doesn’t it? …which is translated elsewhere as “witchcraft.” Its definition includes: 1) the use or the administering of drugs 2) poisoning 3) sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it.
There it is: 1) the use or the administering of drugs 2) poisoning. Speaking of poisoning, how many of you have heard the commercials on television for this or that particular type of drug? I am sure you have heard the ads for diabetes drugs, for blood pressure drugs, for allergy drugs, and of course, for Viagra or Cialis.
Here is a little exercise which will demonstrate to you the power of the visuals to control your mind when you are watching a TV ad. When one of those ads comes on, look down or look away from watching the screen during the commercial, but continue to listen.
If you only listen to the warnings they are required to disclose, it is amazing that anyone would want to take any of them. Almost all of them will, over time, ruin your kidneys and/or your liver or worse.
I just heard a TV ad for an allergy drug last night, and the side effects included (this is my paraphrase), the destruction of your immune system which could leave you open to viral and bacterial infections which could lead to DEATH! For heaven’s sake, I will put up with the allergies, while I try to find a natural solution.
Disclaimer: For the record, I am neither diagnosing nor prescribing here because I am not a medical doctor. I am simply sharing what I found works for me regarding allergies. Readers should consult their medical professional regarding their own medical needs.
Many years ago, as a hobby, I was a beekeeper for a couple years. One of the products of those marvelous creatures is bee pollen. They go out and gather pollen from all kinds of plants and bring it back to the hive.
I have found that using some bee pollen which has been harvested from local sources and sprinkling a teaspoonful on my cereal does wonders for keeping all kinds of allergies at bay. And often, I will simply take it straight, a teaspoon a day, and what do you know, no allergy problems all year ’round!
Now I know that perhaps many of my readers—especially the senior citizens—are on prescription medications, some of you are on multiple prescriptions for various ailments. Am I sitting in judgment here and condemning you for your use of the witchcraft and sorceries of Mystery Babylon? Absolutely not! Many of you feel trapped and dependent upon them. I understand that completely and I can sympathize with you.
Because I, too, have “been there, done that,” where I felt trapped in using the drugs of Big Pharma. Nearly eleven years ago, I experienced horrendous back and leg pain which had me laid up in bed for ten weeks; virtually immobile!
I tried every natural remedy and modality that I had heard of. Nothing would alleviate the torturous and debilitating pain. My friend, a physical therapist, who previously had always been able to help me get back to normal, even made a house call at my request.
When he tried to gently move me, I about went through the roof. At which point, he said, “James, you’ve got to go to Dr. So and so. He will give you injections which will eventually alleviate the pain so your body can heal.”
In the course of those treatments, I found it necessary to use painkilling narcotics for a time. The possibility of becoming addicted “skeered the livin’ daylights outa me!” I weaned myself off of them much earlier than the doctor had expected. He was a good man who could empathize because he, too, had experienced exactly the same thing I was enduring.
At the end of three weeks of injection treatments, he said he would see me again in eight to ten months as the effects would wear off and I should get used to this as my “new normal” for the rest of my life. Well, those of you who know me personally can guess what I was muttering under my breath as he was simply doing his job. “No way in hell” (grinning: to use a biblical word).
After I could walk again, I went back to my essential oils massage therapist (not the physical therapist mentioned above). After learning what happened to me, she asked if I would be interested in reading this book she pulled of the shelf. It was called Healing Back Pain by John Sarno, M.D. It described my situation to a tee. We also carried that book for a number of years. It has been almost eleven years and I have never been back to that fine medical doctor who gave me the injections. My solution was found in that $15 book! The nationally-known libertarian commentator, John Stossel, also sings the praises of Dr. Sarno’s work. I praise God Almighty for Dr. Sarno as well.
Another example I am familiar with is the case of a young woman in her 20s who was in an automobile accident in which she barely escaped death. Among her numerous injuries was a broken back.
This necessitated fusing some her vertebrae. She has been in constant pain ever since and therefore, sadly, there seem to be few, if any, alternatives to the pharmakeia of Babylon for her.
So I do not know how everyone in every case can get off of the meds. After all, we are in captivity and this is part of it. We must continue to pray for our deliverance from this arm of Babylon along with our deliverance from the money system and all the rest of the arms and legs of that great city, Mystery Babylon.
For others of you, there may be a natural alternative—there we go with the two systems again, existing side by side. One is orthodox medicine with its sorceries, but simultaneously there now exists a fairly well-developed field of “alternative medicine.” This would include essential oils, herbs, tinctures, vitamins, minerals and supplements of all sorts, plus numerous other modalities and products.
And yes, I know, the forces of collectivism and Mystery Babylon’s Big Pharma are working diligently and unceasingly to try to outlaw all the alternatives. Will they succeed before our deliverance comes? Only God knows, but my advice is that although we know we are in captivity, that does not give us an excuse to do nothing.
When we find something like this encroaching on our liberties, I believe we must do everything we lawfully can to try to retain our liberties. We may fail—if that is God’s Plan, but then again, it just might be God’s Plan that now is the time for Mystery Babylon to fall, as its arms and legs are being broken.
And that provides me with a perfect segue to bring this lecture to a close and leave you with a hint of where I think we will be starting next time. (But no guarantee on that.)
We have discussed only a few of the arms that we mentioned earlier. We do not have time in this lecture to address the military arm, the news media arm, the entertainment and publishing arm, and the Big Business and Corporate arm, and the others; but we will undoubtedly have much to say about many of them as we continue our studies.
As we discussed in this chapter what I called the arms and legs of Mystery Babylon, I am sure that all of you Bible students remembered that in the vision of Nebuchadnezzar—well, let’s just read some of those very pivotal verses again:
Daniel 2:33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
So if we are seeing or are about to see the collapse of the whole system of Mystery Babylon, then it means that the stone has struck, is now striking, or is soon about to strike the image on its feet which precipitates the fall of that great city, Mystery Babylon.
Of course, when it falls, something has to take its place. We believe that will be God’s Stone Kingdom, a divine system of government! But just who and or what is the stone? We will get to that next time or soon thereafter. And what is the relationship of the stone to the kingdom which is spoken of in verses 44 & 45.
Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure
These and other passages in Daniel can be difficult passages to interpret correctly. But they are impossible to interpret correctly if one mistakenly identifies the players involved. We will do our God-given best to rightly divide these Words of truth as we continue next time in the next lecture/chapter of Mystery Babylon and the Stone Kingdom.
