We are still analyzing the term “ancient of days.” It is found in only three places and all three are in Daniel 7. We left off in the middle of this verse:
Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
Our focus is presently on the last clause, “his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.”
To shed more light on the figurative meaning of the fiery flame, we are examining this verse from Obadiah.
Obadiah 1:18 And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.
This is clearly a prophecy for the latter days. You will recall from our lecture called The Rise of Financial Babylon that we saw how that the house of Esau would, in the latter days, be able to get on top (have the dominion) for a while and Jacob-Israel’s descendants would be in an inferior position. (See Genesis 27:40)
We are at that time. In fact, we are almost at the very end of that time of Esau’s dominance. Therefore, the time for the fulfillment of Obadiah 18 would seem to be very near. But, as I stated previously, the mention of Jacob and Joseph is not a parallelism in my view.
Rather, it means that all the nations of Israel in the world (i.e., the house of Jacob) in the latter days would be part of the fire of God’s law being applied to Esau. However, God designates the house of Joseph (i.e., America and Great Britain) as the flame.
The word flame is to be distinguished from the fire in general, because the Hebrew word for flame also means the point, or the head of a spear. Thus, it would seem to indicate that the house of Joseph in the latter days would take the lead, would be the head, the point man, or the point nations in this context.
And so, bringing this all back to Daniel 7, verse 9, we can now see how the term “ancient of days” refers to Christ’s kingdom, as opposed to applying to the King Himself. Continuing in verse 9.
…his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
“Burning fire” is literally, a flame of fire, thus symbolizing the house of Jacob with his favorite son, Joseph’s house, being the head of the spear and taking the lead.
For the past four centuries, Great Britain and the USA have judged the world. The throne has wheels. When Great Britain was supreme, the throne ruled an empire on which the sun never set; it was global. The influence and power of the British throne was everywhere.
For the past century, especially the past seven decades, the USA has been that nominally Christian nation which has judged the world with its military power, with bases in over 160 nations. Also, it truly is a throne with wheels.
Nevertheless, we remind ourselves once again that all this is while we are under the control of Esau and of Financial Mystery Babylon, a condition of serious imperfection. We are not presently applying God’s law to the world. Instead, Mystery Babylon’s use of US, the U.S., as their bludgeon to conquer the world has caused nearly all the world to hate us!

Here is the lead paragraph from this story at the link above.
“Essentially confessing to mass murder and multiple other crimes, retired Gen. Michael Hayden, the former boss of both the NSA and the CIA, admitted that the Obama administration has been murdering people around the world based solely on the so-called metadata collected by U.S. intelligence agencies. The controversial insider’s remarks confirmed growing fears and warnings by critics of the out-of-control federal government that, despite efforts to downplay its unconstitutional spying and assassination programs, Americans have much to be concerned about.”
Now back to Daniel 7, verse 10.
10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
A fiery stream… A stream is a body of living water; it is the Word of God. The fire is specifically, the law of God. There was a time in our American history when we came close to fulfilling this.
The term “thousand thousands” is a million or more people. So somewhere in our American history, when we had a population of a million or more, between that number and the next figure (100,000,000), we were much more a Christian nation then, bearing more fruit than now.
It was the time when the great missionary works went forth in the 1800s and into the early 1900s. But you and I know that, though these good people were zealous for evangelizing the world, they could only preach what they knew.
The commandments, statutes, and judgments, the law of God, was virtually neglected because they had been taught that it had been “nailed to the cross.” Thus they taught almost exclusively the gospel of personal salvation, the free ticket to heaven-when-you-die-gospel.
Despite the claims of televangelists of getting vast numbers of people saved, has the world changed for the better in the past hundred years? No, just the opposite has eventuated. The 20th century was by far the bloodiest century in history! And the end is not yet. Now specifically on this term…
“…ten thousand times ten thousand…” If you do the math there, that comes out to 100 million people.
Notice that it says that the few millions of our earlier history “ministered unto him,” whereas the 100 million simply “stood before him.” I know there are some who interpret this as a hundred million angels in the spirit realm who are just standing there at the throne of God, ready to dash off to earth and carry out some mission.
For the record, I do believe in spirit beings called angels—I have a two-part lecture on angels (CD #s 259 & 260; $16 ppd.)—but somehow, I don’t really think they stand around by the millions waiting for orders.
I do not know if the 100 million number here is literal, but if it were, it could certainly apply to America because we currently have perhaps as many as 330 million people, and I have to wonder if that ratio sets us up for the fulfillment of Zechariah 13:8 & 9.
Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD [Yahweh], two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD [Yahweh] is my God.
Does that not sound like a nation being brought to repentance in a rather severe manner? Is that where we are now in last months of 2020? It says in Daniel 7, verse 10, that they “stood before him.”
That does not necessarily have to be an individual person. It is a figure of speech called personification, where some thing or some entity or some organization or some nation is personified. If it helps, then think of the ancient of days… think of the “him” as Uncle Sam.
You know, that caricature-type character, wearing red, white and blue, and he has a long white beard and the hair on his head is as white as wool!
Daniel 7:10…the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
I am familiar with the traditional interpretation of this being about individuals being judged at the throne of God, and “the books” supposedly refers to a list of all their sins and so forth. That is useful imagery for hell-fire preaching to scare people into getting saved.
But we have spoken much in this lecture about the idea of nations and empires judging. To me, the simple meaning of “the books were opened” means, for example, that the books of Daniel and Revelation are finally being opened to our understanding. Now as we read the next verse in Daniel, be thinking of the relative time frame.
Daniel 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
“I beheld then …” So this is after the supposed judgment of individuals that the traditional interpreters claim. But their interpretation does not make sense because this verse indicates that the horn speaking great words (i.e., the papacy) is still in existence. The world system is still going on…
“…because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake… and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
I do not believe this is talking about one individual pope whose body is going to be destroyed by a literal fire. Rather, it is talking about the institution of the papacy and its corrupted church body. It is going to be destroyed by the fire of God’s word. As for any given individual Roman Catholic,
1 Corinthians 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
This is not eternal “hell fire.” This is God’s law, the fire that burns up and consumes our carnality, leaving only the purity of that which is refined.
Let us turn to Matthew 25 as we close this lecture/chapter. Obviously, we have much more to come in our study of Mystery Babylon and the Stone Kingdom. We will need to circle back and pick up more of the story of the Rise and Reign of Financial Babylon.
But for these past four lectures, we have been seeing through the magnifying glass of Scripture how the Rise of the Stone Kingdom has occurred right alongside the Rise of Financial Babylon.
We have suggested that the term “ancient of days” does not refer to Jesus, the King, at His second coming, or to God the Father, but rather it refers to the Kingdom, the Stone Kingdom, America.
We have shown in previous messages how Daniel 7 does not fit Daniel 2 unless the ancient of days is the kingdom. Most believers are very familiar with the prophecy parable of the judgment of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25.
Most believers, however, are under the false impression that it is speaking of individual persons again, whereas it is really about sheep and goat nations! Nations! Now remember once again that most important question that the apostles had for Jesus just before He ascended. They asked him, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
With that in mind, let us read the capstone verse of the parable-prophecy, verse 34 of Matthew 25. Jesus, the King, says this to the sheep nations, that is, to Israel. Read along carefully, because I am going to add a few words to give you my understanding of it. So consider this, Bruggeman’s Amplified Version.
Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom, [the Stone Kingdom] prepared for you from the foundation of the world, from the ancient of days.
This North American continent was created or formed at the same time as the other continents, but this continent was set aside and prepared for you and me to inhabit as the Stone Kingdom.
It is a kingdom set aside and prepared from the ancient of days, the olden times, from earliest antiquity. The violent have taken it by force and we in the year 2020 are a subjugated people, yet still blessed to enjoy many liberties and a very high standard of living.
But you and I do believe that we are nearing the end of our modern Mystery Babylonian Captivity and that things are about to change drastically for the better and very soon, historically speaking. God speed the day!
