Suddenly we (I) have many metaphorical fires to put out on this lovely Friday here in WNC (Western North Carolina). Which is to say that we only have time for these brief comments regarding a photo sent to us by some friends taken at their recent visit to the full-scale Noah’s Ark built by the Answers in Genesis organization just south of Cincinnati.
We have never been there, but it’s on our “to do” list some day. We have expounded at great length on the story of Noah in our teaching series The Covenants of the Bible, and we trust all our readers have read our material—serialized in our monthly Feed My Sheep monographs—on the Noahic Covenant.
(The Noahic covenant is not to be confused with the antichristian “Noahide Laws” of the Talmud.)
We have pointed out before how the antichrists, the adversaries of Yahweh and His Son, Jesus, and His Kingdom, try to counterfeit and/or try to steal everything belonging to our God, including the sign/symbol of the rainbow.
Another example: Perhaps you have heard of the “lavender lobby”? The color lavender is being hijacked by the Leftists Lesbians (and other homosexuals as their color, perhaps because of the L in Lesbian and Lavender). I personally went out and bought a nice lavender-colored golf shirt because they don’t “own” that color.
Regarding the rainbow symbol, we have noted how in their commandeering of that symbol, it’s a dead giveaway (pun intended), because theirs is always (we’ve never seen an exception that we recall) their rainbow is always six colors. Six is the biblical number associated with imperfection and incompletion. (Witness 6-6-6 in the book of Revelation. Witness the six colors in the NBC peacock logo among hundreds of other Leftist examples.)
Seven is the number of perfection and completion. A true rainbow is easily remembered by the acronym ROY-G-BIV, Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo and Violet. Count ’em. Seven beautiful colors as a symbol of God’s covenant spoken to Noah but His covenant is with … Noah? No, not with him singularly, but here, let’s read it:
Genesis 9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
So, although we have some disagreements doctrinally with the Answers in Genesis brethren, we are very pleased to see that they put seven distinct colors on this lovely arch with the replica of Noah’s ark in the background.
And thank you, my friends, for permission to use this photo.
Have a blessed weekend!
