CORRECTION: I made a mistake in the last mailing (the September issue of Feed My Sheep). In the cover letter, I had changed the letterhead to reflect our new postal mailing address. I did not notice that I messed up the zip code, which reads “2812.” Ooops! The correct zip code is 28732. It was correct in the body of the letter, however.
Already, someone has done what we specifically warned about in the cover letter. They used our self-addressed reply envelope, and scratched out the PO Box 5695, Asheville, NC 28813 and hand-wrote the new address. Guess where it ended up. It was in the old PO Box. This is because the reply envelopes are printed with a bar code at the bottom which is equivalent to the PO box address.
Look, we are already having to “eat” (pitch, throw out) about 7,000 of the envelopes still left from our last printing of them which was long before we knew we would have to be moving so please discard any of the reply envelopes with the old address.
Here are a couple of photos in the new office of what I would deem as our halfway point in the move. The first two shots are of the work area cum library. The second is of my inner office cum library.
NEW: For your thoughtful consideration, we have a 107 for you. We took the time this weekend to listen (at sped-up speed) to a very recent interview of “Mr. 107” (Juan O Savin, misspelled in the video as Savinn…) hosted by Michael Jaco. Jaco is a retired Navy Seal who has interviewed Juan many times.
Jaco is good in that he asks a question and then generally does not interrupt Juan as Juan has free range to expand and explain much of the back story to whatever the question is.
This is a bit longer than most, but I have not had time to listen / watch any 107s in about two weeks due to moving my office from Asheville to Fletcher.
I did not spend the time to make bullet points, but I found it well worth the listen. Here is the link to the podcast.
