The Unveiling and the Revealing in the Air

In our efforts to continually be aware of current events in order to provide a biblical context—and therefore biblical hope (i.e., a certain expectation)—to these current events, we peruse the Epoch Times both in the weekly paper edition as well as the online daily version. The ET is one of my favorite trusted sources for accurate news and thoughtful opinion pieces.

One of our favorite thinkers published in the ET is Mr. Jeffrey Tucker. We recently came across his commentary entitled Apocalypse in the Air. It provides much opportunity for our own adjunct commentary.

Our critique is not meant to be in a negative, nasty, or condescending attitude; rather, it is done recognizing that Mr. Tucker is a true scholar, a Renaissance man, in the best sense of the term.

He has a great breadth of knowledge, but focuses more on economics and its impact on society and civilization at large. From all we can glean from his writings, he appears to be a Christian.

His focus in this column is first on the gloom now apparent in America at large—hence the title, but he closes on a hopeful note. Let us begin with his title and add our commentary in [brackets]. Furthermore, all italics, underlining, and boldface type are ours. We usually shorthand that explanation by saying that all emphases are ours.

QUOTE: Apocalypse in the Air

[The modern usage of the word apocalypse implies gloom and violence, even to the point of doomsday. This is a natural evolution of the meaning of the word because the book of Revelation is chocked full of predictions of war, famine, pestilence, plagues, and death on massive scales over a long period of time…

Unless you are a modern fundamentalist or evangelical Christian who has imbibed the nonsense (as I once did) of the futurist view of prophecy. If that is the case, then most of the gloom and doom in Revelation occurs in a very short period of time, a or 7-year period, depending on your fine points of understanding of your futurist eschatology.

We contend that the gloom and doom predicted in Revelation is spread out over history, from the time of John the apostle to now. Hence, we hold to the less-widely known (but true) view of prophecy known as historicism.

So, Mr. Tucker’s use of the word apocalypse is meant to convey his view of the gloom and doom now seemingly enveloping America and the world. His use of the term in the air” is no doubt meant in its general figure of speech usage to indicate something is extant or widespread in whatever realm or situation is being discussed. Fair enough.

But the silver lining is that the word apocalypse is from the Greek language, and it literally means the unveiling or the revealing, and hence the English term for the last book in the Bible is Revelation.

Because, as is evident in the document itself, the book is all about the unveiling or the revelation of Jesus Christ, as He Himself dictated those sacred words to his beloved apostle John.

Moreover, we know both from the Acts of the Apostles, chapter 1:11, from Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians (1 Thessalonians 4:17), and in the book of Revelation itself (Revelation 19:11ff.), that our King returns in the air.”

Hence, the seeming gloomy title of Mr. Tucker’s essay is really positive and the greatest news since His first coming. Now to Mr. Tucker’s analysis.]

More than ever in my life, we approach Christmas and the new year with a sense of impending doom of some uncertain sort.

The Biden administration’s White House holiday video didn’t really help. I like tap dancing as much as the next guy, but there was something odd, even spooky, about this video. It wasn’t just the cross-dressing and bizarre costumes. It was more than that, something Hunger Games”-y and quasi-demonic about the whole thing.

[We have heard of the Hunger Games, but have not seen it; nor do we have any desire to watch it, based on what little we have heard about it. We would omit the word quasi-” and let’s just call it demonic,” period. That fits with the entire Bydin administration.

Bydin is misspelled on purpose to indicate our belief, based on substantial evidence in open sources online, that he is not the real Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., but he is faux Joe,” an actor, or more likely, several actors playing the part, and quite well, we must admit.]

Hard to put one’s finger on it. It did not recall our shared traditions of Christmas so much as introduce us into some strange new world of wild drug-induced zaniness sans any of the rooted solemnity of spiritual joy associated with this holy time of year.

Actually, maybe that was the whole problem with the video. It was not the talented dancers or even the costumes. It was its dismissive superficiality: look at us in Washington having a blast while the rest of the country is being ground into the dust.

[Biblically, the scene is reminiscent of King Belshazzar’s wild, drunken orgy party, thrown for one thousand of the king’s bureaucrats and other officials (princes).

It occurred on that famous night when everyone was startled out of their wits as a hand appeared out of nowhere and began writing on the wall. Even the king himself was terrified.

Daniel 5:6 Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

Some have interpreted that to mean that the king lost control of his bowels and his bladder—total terror does that. None of the regular court magicians could interpret the writing, so ultimately the holy prophet Daniel was called in. How would you like to be the one to tell the king the really bad news—that his kingdom and he himself had come to an end?

It was a bit later that very night that the Persian general, Cyrus, and his troops entered under the wall (street) of Babylon resulting in Belshazzar losing his head, literally.

Daniel 5: 30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.

31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

Did exactly the same thing happen in Washington, D. C. over Christmas? No, but then, it seems to us that what happened in one night—the fall of ancient Babylon—is playing out on a somewhat longer time scale for the fall of Mystery Babylon in our era.

But make no mistake, that great City is a-comin’ down. So, let’s make sure we get out of the way! (Revelation 18:4) Back to Mr. Tucker.]

It also reminded me of the vast chasm that separates the lives of them versus us. [The separation of the tares from the wheat. Matthew 13. We have expounded that in great detail in our mini-series on the parables, part of our larger series on The Kingdom of God.]

In the real world, these days are utterly packed with dread about some not yet seen crisis on the way. We know it, and dread it. We also know that the White House itself will be the source.

In all private circles today, this is a constant topic. There are many choices:

• Bad weather lockdowns

• Climate lockdowns

• Terrorism lockdowns

• All major cities overrun with refugees

• Civil unrest from rampaging migrants, followed by lockdowns

• A full takedown of the internet

• Turnkey imposition of central bank digital currencies (CBDC)

• Forced verification of all social media posts

• Forced installation of transportation off switches [to make your car suddenly inoperable at the whim of a cabal flunky bureaucrat]

• The cancellation of elections and imposition of martial law

• Hyperinflation followed by empty stores

• Grounding of all planes but chartered flights

• Another disease panic stemming from lab leak

• Nuclear war

[Can our readers add more to this bullet list? We can, but we will defer to your additions here.]

Please don’t call all these unfounded conspiracy theories. They are merely predictions about what could happen, and each one has some basis in existing fact, extrapolated with a pessimistic presumption concerning how elites will respond. END QUOTE

conspiracy theories - Reminds us of that statement we repeated in a blog some time back—it might have come from an internet meme: What’s the difference between a conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact? About 2-6 weeks!

As opposed to the pre-internet era when it took years for the truth to become widespread knowledge, and most people never did realize it was fact. Even, for example, that the very use of the term conspiracy theory was invented back in the 1950s by members of the cabal in their BM department {BM = Babylonian Media}.

The term was created to be used everywhere in the BM to ridicule and besmirch anyone who started to get too close to the truth. I have been called a promoter of conspiracy theories ever since the Father led me to learn of the existence of the cabal (i.e., the great conspiracy) in the late 1970s.

As we have learned from our personal study of history, nearly everything that happens in politics, in government, in the halls behind government is a conspiracy. We present the facts concerning the truth of that statement in Lecture #21, Conspiracies throughout History, in our series Mystery Babylon and the Stone Kingdom.

each one has some basis in existing fact, extrapolated with a pessimistic presumption concerning how elites will respond.” This is precisely why I listen to as many podcasts as I can with Juan O Savin, interviewed by various hosts, and from Dave Episode” at his X22 Reports.

Both of them explain in great detail (which could be described as pessimistic”) what the elites, the Mystery Babylonians, the cabal are doing or trying to do.

But their (Juan and Dave’s) material is not really pessimistic—unlike many/most red-pill websites—because both of these men show how the white hats are winning in the battle for control of (ultimately) the planet.

Will Klaus Schwab and his fellow-traveling band of a few hundred elitist families succeed. No! With divine help, His people will be delivered! Again, we have expounded how that will happen according to biblical prophecy throughout our extensive series, Mystery Babylon and the Stone Kingdom.

We are out of time for today. We will pick up from this point in Mr. Tucker’s fine essay tomorrow and offer our supplementary insights.
